Russias main export is the export of Gas and other natural ressources. Like with the US, Russia is dependend on the export. It is their money. Their income. Russia is still suffering from what the West has done to it 18 years ago. It is only now recovering from years of anarchy and uncontrolled capitalism. It is getting power and money again, and is getting a World Power again. Everyone fears it because of 60 years of propaganda. That's the only reason.

It wasnt because cosovo got indipendance that other countrys want independance . They have the right to rule their own lives and the right to choose .
Who says 10 russian solidiers were killed before the russians invaded georgia ?
Who says the americans have let the georgian presedent fall ? Why should anyone think that ? What more could the americans do for him ?

okay. It sounds quite funny to me. Compare Russia and Georgia. Georgia is a small, small country that is not comparable by power or size with Russia. Why the hell should Russia be interested in "They want to destabilise and control" ????

The talk about independence is about THAT and NOT about Georgia!! Georgia is independent, and it was antonomous even in the Soviet Union.
It was because of Cosovo that this topic became actual. Tibet came back to light although the West has ignored it for 50 years, Northern Irland etc., There was talk again about that topic.

The facts are that people are being manipulated , lied to , provoked , murdered , bombed , shot at , property is being destroyed and that people dont have a free choice . Thats not right , fair , civilised or honest . I havent said any more or any less . You present pravda propoganda as facts and justification .

I don't represent pravda propaganda or whatever. I only say, that this war isn't an elaborated attack from Russia but is a result of
1. Tension between Russia and Georgia (from BOTH sides)
2. A new movement of independence all around the world (including South Ossetia) leading to aggression towards South Ossetia from Georgia (resulting in bombings and murder of civilans and russian military)
3. A new wave of cold war. Georgia (at least its president!!) is very keen on alliance with the US, so as the Ucraine is.
But we can only judge the facts later on. I propose another discussion in about 2 month, concluding what has happened.
