Hi,

I bought some cuttings almost a year ago, and the salesman told me it's Kanna. When I search for pictures however, they don't look quite like my plants. Can anyone confirm whether this is actually kanna or not?

I also harvested quite some plant material today, to make place for new growth. Should I really ferment it, or is it also effective when I just let it dry?

Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

They have not flowered as of yet, I have them since last August if I'm right. It would indeed be easier to identify when they do, when does sceletium tortuosum flower?
The reason why I doubt if this is sceletium tortuosum is because mine grows very fast. I've seen pictures of 1 year old sceletium tortuosum approximately 1,5-2 inch tall, it's leafs also looked more like cardgame-diamonds to me and fatter.

I have the chopped material soaking in a plastic bag for 3 days now, and it is starting to smell familliar like kanna, it smells good!

how long should it ferment?
