I don't really have a top 5... My favourites are weed, mushrooms and MDMA each with it's own qualities. I think it's not about top drugs but top experiences.

I'd like to mention MDMA, LSA and salvia but a top 5 is a top 5 :] I also wanted to include opiates but I realised it was a bad thing for teens who can find it fun' to try it, above all if an opiate is first in the top. Every psychoactive with empathogen property have its way in my top... But excepted these, I love dissociatives as you can see, but not PCP, which is a too dangerous psychoactive...

somewhat in this order i guess at the moment, based on my experiences:

-LSD (love the trip, I get synesthesia, and the afterglow is amazing for me quite often)
-Sativa, well any predominantly sativa strain or Hashish (some of my most profound trips ever, usually oral)
-Psilocybin (afterwards feel generally grounded somehow)
-Alcohol (don't like getting drunk, just a few drinks==great buzz and conversation)
-on occasion in the correct setting, if i don't do it too often, the 2-minute nicotine trance

Mescaline could easily be on this list if I have a chance to try it again, I loved my threshold experience. As for the Shulgin Phenylethylamines, in my two experiences fun and visual, but I tend to trust the classic psychedelics more as we know of their long term side effects and I have more of what I actually want out of a trip with them. Haven't tried Ayahuasca so can't say how this list will look after I have tried it either.

MDEA (Methylone) seperately mentioned from MDMA because I definately think it's a bit different in effect.
As to how I can't really say, I'll pay more attention to this next time so hopefully I can make some words of it.
