Taste of Extracted DMT Crystals

I took a little flake of extracted DMT from a recent extract and tasted it. I was surprised at how much it burned my tongue.

Does it make sense that it would burn?

If it's normal, I can see why people say snorting it would be so painful.

Yes, it burns like mad. I'm not sure this has something to do with a small residue of NaOH, but I think it is DMT that is the culprit.

When I get my hands on some lidocaine, I'll try numbing my sinus cavity before trying snorting DMT.
