Sup amigos, I bought 20g of psilocybe atlantis online about 8months ago and they came vacuum packed, but forgot about them and recently found them again. I have opened the pack and mycelium is growing in small ammounts, and i am currently mid-way through drying them out, however they are a lot darker in colour than they were and on the website i bought them from its says they have a shelf life of around 6 months, and was wondering the effects of eating older truffles. they give off no unusual smell and have exactly the same consistency as brand new (dried) psilocybe atlantis. I have taken truffles before many times, both fresh and dried, but never that are past the sell by date, and was just wondering if i should throw these out or eat them anyway.
