I'm disappointed with my HBWR extract.
I took 18 HBWR seeds, ground them, soaked in naptha for a few hours, filtered, soaked again in naptha, filtered and waited for the mush to dry and lose naptha smell. (I did 2 napthas because I really didn't want any nausea.)
Then I soaked in 95% ethanol for three days, shaking every so often. It may have been too much ethanol. It was about 3 times by volume compared to seed powder, and it never really turned yellow, but I filtered and put it on a tray to dry.
I was happy to see quite a bit of yellow residue at the bottom as it started to dry, and after a while, I scrapped it up. I stored it for a few days in a dark, cool place in a paper origami box.
Today, I decided to try it...I was adventurous, so I took half. After an hour or so, I took the rest. I ate it directly without a gel cap.
There was either no effect except placebo, or maybe a extremely mild effect.
Do you think I did something wrong or just bad seeds?
