Doxycycline- antibiotic.

Hello,
last week I went out for running training.
I train in the forrest and when i got home there was a tick in my arm.
I removed it but something went wrong and i got this huge red spot on my arm.
I went to my docter and he gave me Doxycycline an antibiotic.
He told me that i should not drink alcohol for 2 weeks.
But what about schrooms would this a risk when youre on a antibiotic.
I asked if i could eat annything :roll: and he said yes no problem so???

Let's hope you didn't catch Lyme disease.

alcohol stops you absorbing some antibiotics. think yourself lucky its not Lyme disease. learn the correct method of removing tics. Lyme disease will f*ck you up big time otherwise!

Thanks. I'm not going to drink alcohol for 2 weeks perhaps longer i've got a runningcontest comming up so i need to get in shape.
Just went out to get one of those ticdevices so i'll be ready for the next one!

Off topic . What do you run ? How far and how fast ?

I'm training for the ''dam tot dam loop'' thats from Zaandam to Amsterdam
it's 16.1 km i'm hope the do it in 1h 20-30 min.
But i never runned in a crowd before but i think it will slow me down a bit.

Sounds fun to me and a realistic time . Sharpen your elbows and try to keep out of the pack or they will slow you down or trample you to death . Steel toecaps in your shoes are also good .

i had/have lyme disease and was put on doxycycline
can't say much about the medication but the disease sucks iced eggs

steel toe caps :lol: btw the red spot is almost gone! The medicine works but i still have to take it for 8 days o well better than getting really sick.
