Ok, you have totally missed the point.... :?

You are not making 3 words associate with each other, you are taking the previous posters 3 words and associating the first word tjhat comes to mind for each of them them.

Look how Fork connectd to my original post, Sticki - Gold, Watch, Key. Fork replied - Pick, Time, Ounce.

Ounce of gold, Pick a lock for a key and Time displayed by a watch. Hope this makes sense
