well IMHO, this is almost becoming a racist thread. you have been speaking of the chinese, and not china!
china is growing,, like india or brasil. in the last case scenario, we are the ones to blame, because we, as europeans and americans, have been supporting and encouraging capitalism, let it be disguised in monarchies, republics, totalitarianisms or communisms. back in the days when the steam engine was invented, capitalism was already big. we infected every civilization with it, if we did not killed/supplanted them. china is doing this because of money. they need to produce, because we buy it. they have cheap labor, and therefore can acheive incredible low prices, even if it implies sacrificing quality.
guitars, for example, have lowered their quality because all major manufacturers moved their factories to china, or vietman, or laos, etc. that's what i know and am certain by experience.
now, if chinese people are rude, or they don't care for human rights, that's their culture. we started this human rights thing. now we judge them because we know it is "right" - that is typical of european people. we think of something and make everyone belive it as well. china was never famous for protecting the masses, or having great respect for humans. check it history and you will see, far beyond of the massacre that happened in the great wall, known amongst the general public. we shouldn't judge them because they belive in things different from ours. the main thing we have to complain about it the pollution and disrespect of the earth and the climate, because it "belongs" to everyone, not just the human beings, but every organism.
