Hi!
The problem with the MXE is not fully clear to us yet. What I can say is that what we sold was definitely MXE and it was also analyzed by our chemist.
However some people complained about it while others found it to be perfectly fine. In the end, our assumption is that there were certain "bad spots" in the batch, that may for whatever reason have contained product with an uneven isomer ratio, resulting in more of the undesired isomer being located in certain spots.
This theory was further supported when one customer contacted us who had ordered 20g and we sent it in 2x10g bags.
He told us that the quality of the product in one bag is not very good and later told us that the quality of the product in the second bag is much better and basically the way it should be.
Both bags were filled from the same product in the same container and so the only explaination I have is, that there were certain sections in the batch that contained this "problematic" MXE. We also got a sample sent back and analyzed it again and it came out as MXE, so the only explaination that is really left is, that it's an isomer problem.
Also the posts on SOS are a bit misleading, because we have shipped many MXE orders and only a few people reported problems, so for most people the product was still absolutely fine.
In any way, we take the issue serious and have stopped selling the current MXE batch and will try to send it back to the lab.
In the meantime we are also trying to get a new batch from a completely different lab.
We switched to the new batch by mid february and feedback in the beginning was very good and only a few weeks later first complaints came in. Like I said, it must only be bad spots, because we sent product to many also trusted customer and many of them did not notice any reduced effects.
We hope to have new MXE soon.
