I was only ironically expressing my frustration about myself not having been able to obtain some dmt. However no need to rush things. I believe it finds me when the time is right!

Extract it! Anyone can do it. I am sure if you had any problems, people on this forum with experience could help you out. Mimosa Hostilis is legal in many countries, and all the chemicals you need can be found in a hardware store. But don't forget, this is illegal and you should never attempt it! :D

PEACE & LOVE

" with an amazon shaman here in Brazil this saturday, and definitely nothing can substitute this kind of thing, "

Have you ever tried ayahuasca in a ceremony with other people??????

Yes , loads of times . I`ve lead ceremonys to .

Right. Do you still lead ceremonies and how can I join????

No i dont . I gave up taking drugs last august . I`ve taken ayahuasca 2 times since then and smoked a small amount of cannabis for medical reasons , but the cannabis use stoped 3 months ago .

I personally would find it much more beautiful if there wasn't another dimension. The thought that the whole universe is in your brain is very beautiful.

feeling sarcastic today, are we?

care to elaborate some more so we can have a discussion?

I wouldnt even know where to start.. maybe about what ´psychological´ means, or the power of the psyche

or maybe about the difference between the dynamics of group sessions and psychonautic sessions... or maybe about the hundreds (thousands?) of years of knowledge of shamanic practices and their effect on the experience is not ´just psychological´...

but I´ll wait to see if you want to elaborate a bit more

Other than suport inexperienced people if they have problems what can a "shaman" do that you cant ?

the 9th of august :crybaby:
if it would have just been a little later..
it would be so nice to smoke dmt for the first time and to be part of such an experiment already :P

how is it working out for you?

"how is it working out for you?"

I dont have to look over my shoulder all the time, or live the life of a desperado and i`ve got much more money in my pocket .

Well The first time I took ayahuasca I was very impressed by the skills of the guy leading the ceremony.
I don't know about your skills. I don't want to put down your skills?

When leading a ceremony, do you sing or make music?

Thats what i`m asking , what skills ?

I dont do drugs any more and there was no singing , music or chanting . Sometimes someone picked a guitar up when every one was up and flying and played it . Sometimes it fitted and sounded like honey dripping off a spoon and other times it didnt fit at all .

What skills???? Running a ceremony.

Or do you want to say my local shoemaker (with no experience), can run a ceremony just as good.
:? :?: :?: :?:

I agree that it's about the plants, not the person who is leading the ceremony. The power is in the plants, but many people run ceremony's and not every ceremony is the same.

I dont know your lokal shoe maker , maybe he can and does ? But we understand each other . A leader can make a very big difference , even if its just by the aura ( not ment in an esoteric hippy sense ) he projects . The atmosphere that he and the group around him build up .

well, without going into the possibility of ´spirits´ that they could have the abilities of dealing with, just think about it:

We all have been noobs once when taking psychedelics for the first times, and then we started to learn little by little, through direct experience, and by reading and talking to others. We found out many things about how to deal with the experience, what kind of situations it´s good to take, what sort of people to be around, what sort of music to listen to or not, etc etc

now these shamans, through direct line of ancestry, have hundreds (or thousands) of years of experience.. It´s not a couple of years, or even a life time of knowledge.. Its many many generations of straight contact of the whole culture with these substances. We take them, talk to close friends about it and then go to the streets and act ´normal´... Their whole culture is based on dealing with these states of mind

The Huni Kuin tribe, which is the one I´ve been having contact with, put great emphasis on the songs, or icaros, that are maybe the most important part of the whole ritual. Its not just about playing some nice song that sounds good. In the synaesthetic world of the ayahuasca experience, there is a science behind the chants, when to sing each song, or in other words how to operate and navigate the seascapes of ayahuasca, turning the whole experience into a productive one, and not just preventing the ´noobs´ from fear and despair.

So you are saying exactly what i`m saying . Hes an experienced sitter and controller of set and setting and nothing more .

sort of.. except im saying that the level in which they control it is more than what we westerners can, even experienced ones, so their presence in a ritual is a very interesting and unique thing (im talking about real shamans, not the ones that are all over even anouncing on the internet or calling for you when you arrive in the airport in iquitos or something)..

I think we like to disagree god, but deep down we agree on many things.. you can be sure I dont idealize shamans or think that psychonaut experiences are less valid, all im saying is that it is different, and that one doesnt take the place of the other away

OK . I agree . I`d love to do it , but only with a real native curandero from a tribe thats done it for thousands of years , not one of those professional tourist rip off money baba "shamen" .
