intro (sorry if it's a long piece to read, but please do take the time to read it)
I've been in this forum for one week...i've been reading a lot and posted many replies...i would like to start a serious thread...now it's not easy for me to talk so openly....and i must say it's abit scary cause i'm putting forward something very personal that only lately i've decided to investigate. as a matter of fact it was only two weeks ago that i finally decided to talk with a doctor about it. next week i'm gonna get my brains scanned with EEG and MRI to see if i have anything going "wrong" in there.

Now the main dish
when i was 10 moved to Nigeria and was gonna stay there for 4 years. note that in those 4 years i never contracted malaria, yellow fever or any shit available just by standing for five minutes outside. i got a bit of flu sometimes but nothing else.
I ate normal food. went to school. had friends like any 10 year old boy. didn't have a computer. didn't watch too much tv. allways liked to experiment really easy and harmless things and loved to watch the world through my first microscope kit. so all normal so far, i think.
one day staying in my room reading comic books i had the weirdest of experiences. i suddenly had flashes in my mind of situations and actions that were revolving around me, i knew these were all things "to come" i don't know how i knew it but i did...these were not CEV or OEV because i couldn't really see them but mostly "remembering them" .like with dejavu you se an action that your mind registers as happened just a second ago. i had a thousand dejavues all together passing through my mind and had the feeling you get while holding your breath. after the "visions" were gone i felt my head spinning like when you have been spinning for a while and you stop adruptly. my legs and arms went numb and as i was standing, i fell (lukily) on my bed i felt goosebumps forming on my skin and i was sweating and my eyes were unfocused...now after that i tried talking about it with my mom and she didn't seem that much concerned (for me it was quite scary, i was expecting her to freak out) but she didn't and asked me if i had taken anything suspicious lately or if i just didn't imagine it and it was just a normal dejavu :?
anyhow a few days later i got in a couple of the situations i "saw" in the first dejavu (from now on the FDJV) and i would get a milder feelings of all the feelings i listed for the FDJV...the strange thing is when i talked about it to my mother she didn't remember saying anything about it (i mean my mom has areally good memory, so it was strange for me to ge this response) however after these it happened only twice in the 4 years we were in Nigeria. i would live one of the "premonitions" (i would call them that because i couldn't call them dejavu i have those all the time but they don't remind me of the "visions" and don't give me those effects) of the FDJV and feel the nauseating feeling of headspinning shivers fatigue and traspiration (i would soak a dry shirt in a sec).
the thing that pissed me off was that my mom never remembered any of the times i talked to her about it every time i would say "mom i had one of my premonitions" she would say " :? what are you talking about honey?" "yes those dejavu like things i get sometimes i've told you about them" said i, and still she would reply "sweetie you never talked about any of this" and i went :( WTF??? but in my own mind otherwhise i'd get in trouble. so until i went to highschool nothing happened...actually until i was 16 i started again having these "re-Visions" of actions. and i undestood then how the recall mechanism worked. allmost like a dejavu except that you can't stop a dejavu. sometimes i was able to stop the recovery of the vision and in time to stop the feeling of fatigue. i would just profusely transpire and feel tingly without falling to the ground. however i didn't have full control on these and sometimes i wasn't able to stop thus i would remember the actions i was gonna make, perform them and at the end fall unable to think straight allmost as if i had huge joint smoked in one hit. lukily it happened only once at school and i was sitting and after completing the vision i felt unconscious for a split second and came back just in time to see the table bang against my head...i got off saying that i fell asleep because i didn't sleep the night before (not true cause i slept like an angel for 9 hours). i've been having these things avery two months for about 1 month (i would have one every 4-5 days within that month) ever since. at the moment i'm writing this i'm in one of my transition periods where nothing happens and the last "attack" (cause it might be epilepsy for what i know) was a month ago where i was standing in the kitchen and doing a very banal thing (i don't remember what because then i forget what i saw and did after 1 month the attack takes place, i've been keeping a journal...soon after i get an attack i write what i saw and did, and if a read back i don't even remember properly what i did ... i read something and is like a friend telling me these things, i "remove" them from memory allmost, except the recent ones which i remember. ) and only lately my mom got concerned because she saw me falling like a heap of clothes a month ago the same dialoge as before was repeated for the 1000th time.
I feel like a loony rereading this, also because i'ts written like crap, and hope to get helpful and if not at least no trivial answers like:" duude this one's a spastic lol you sure youre not on drugs? the latter kind of replies are non tasteful and offensive to me because i just shared something that is deeply personal... and if i find out that in fact it's epilepsy (which i find hard to believe since the "attacks" hve no consistency as with epilepsy, i have friend who is and i know how it works) please do not post the :"i'm sorry dude" kind of reply, that would just irritate me... we'll close the topic taking note that it's a physiological reaction and that i have to live with it without the possibility to explore it. on the other hand i'm hoping it is some kind of reaction that will help me someway rather than just be a fascinating event that causes a certain degree of discomfort.

Can I know how old you are?

I'm having something really weird too..
I get a lott off bad dreams lately, but when i have good ones (or don't remember my dreams) I dream like this:
the dreams goes about something that WILL happen in the future.
So it's like i'm seeing the future, but i forget what happened in the dream UNTILL the moment those evnents from the dream will happen... Then one sec before a thing from the dream happens i get some kind off déja-vù like you have but in a softer way, and it takes me out off balance too (not that hard at all though).

I dunno what to ask or say now? Wether this is worth seeing a doctor or a dreamspecialist to use this or whatever..
Or wether this is worth saying it to you 'cuz it helps your mind in some way .

Cheers anyway

Mhm i am 21 now...
now that i think of it it happens sometimes that i dream the future like you but that is different from the "dejavu" experiences i'm having ...without any sideffects ...i just realize i dreamt what just happened, and probably because of that i've never looked into it properly.
I dunno .....
How old are you?
probably we should keep a dream journal.
Probably we should look for an experienced onironaut....it's so strange... :?
thanks for the reply though :)

I'm 21 end this year.
The weird thing is I absolutey can't remember what i dreamt untill the moment those things actually happen..

I'm curious wether it can be able to manipulate and controll this and take it to an advanced level.

mmmmmmm...i dunno...i've never looked into the dream thing due to my beliefs it seemed something that could happen without making a big fuzz about it...however my "premonitions" are something absolutely non correlated to the use of psychedelics... at age 10 i didn't even have access to any of those

One really cool thing that has nothing to do with the topic :D :D :D
Do you guys see colored circles expanding like water in a sink when drops hit the surface if you close your eyes before going to sleep? :?: :?: :?:

i have the same sometimes.

And also by the psychedelics.. I had a time when i drunk 2 glasses of Absinthe every day, and then my dreams were very intense and most off the time scary too.. And they still would happen.

hi guys,

this is one of my favorite issues, the dream thing. :)

My brother and i also dream about the future, but we don't pay too much attention to it, we just accpet it as being pretty normal. It just gives us a a good feeling , and we can't rely on it to really predict anything major.

However i hear it more and more, i'm very happy about these posts, especially the one that started it, from the guy who lived in Nigeria. It really has nothing to do with drugs, or not necessarily anyway.

A friend of mine, who also dreams about the future (and it's always the very near future, like the next day or something) once told me about the issue:

"yeah, it's not that we dream about the future, it's that everything is connected, we feel the waves of energy or something, there is no future, just energy, and we feel it, when it's close enough"

I liked that explanation.

It's great that you guys are investigating about this, i'm all for that, check it out, and do let us know more!!

It's about evolution (of the human kind) and being connected, or open to the connection, i think.

and maybe you would like the film from linklater about dreams : waking life.

However I'd like to ask you(since you live in Holland) if you perhaps know a dreamdoctor? Or something like that..

Love, Robby

Hi guys.. interesting this, i have experianced the same thing recently well not to the full extent because i have looooooads of dreams, ya i sleep alot, but there are ones you can remember and ones you dont remember.. i think the nature of the effort is basically to test what would work with you in designed situations..

so you have like 10 Dreams in a dream sequence.. all of left or right type efforts, like or dislike, i kinnda find the dreams are trying to question your subconscince... mmm then you basically ''choose''- and thats what happens.. then you remember wat happens.. hence ''fate''-

thing is i thought so you know wats gonna happen right.. so what if you wanted to go against what happened in you dream??, do you follow the reaction or do you do what the dream tells you? its the stupid neo and the oricale with the pot plant thing... thing is these dream sequences are actually controled mechanisms.
There for a reason andd all that you not really seeing the future as such, you already had a plan of wat was gonna jhappen yesterday so did the people whom were doing similar things in similar situations in the enviroment around you .... so how else minipulate to events of tomorrow...

if i want you to break the pot plant
and if i know you are gonna say no already, i will stay you shoudnt break the pot plant....who said it was the future anyways.. just because you seen in event that can easily be recreated in a controled enviroment is this not just puppetry?? However you have only been told that you see the future.

its not purely co-incidental that you remeber the exact memory at the same time. mmm Sure you can go the religious route of saying ''wer all connected and that'', by some mysterious god or spirit; however i would disagree, mind minipulation is only a consept to some, i believe that to some level this controle methodology is indeed, genious, but still minipulative in certain aspects.

mmm, i am from zimbabwe, and have been experiancing it without even knowing it my whole life.. only becoming aware of it last year..when i was 19, personally i think it borders on a slavery tactic. sorry bout the long answer.. but i have been for cat scans and seen various docters/phycitrists and ect ect ect, have too been in and out of institutions... each time absoultly nothing wrong with me. must just be insane, nothing new.

Hello...welcome to the club
to a certain extent i agree with you
but i guess this whole thing should be studied thoroughly and seriously because only once it ahs been recognized as a phenomenon it can be than aknowledged and studied then given an explanation that gives it a sense...only then we'll be able to give it a name at the moment is just "The Dream the Future Thingy" and it is basically what you want to make of it...it could be a form of insanity...a gift....god who's trying to interact with us (though i don't see the point of him waisting his time so...)....the idea that time is a spiral and not linear so it could get close to overlap and your mind being in an altered state when dreaming is able to capture hints of what's gonna happen....the fact that as you said Getaphix is just a product of your mind and we are able to extrapolate events due to the closed environment we live in...etc etc etc...
i think that the time has come to make research by orselves: make a detailed diary of our dreams and dejavues (for those who have them) and correlate them with diet, mood, events, drugs taken etc etc also period of year, moon, weather...i dunno what else to say...
