well ok "shrooms" are normally different kind of mushrooms that grow more in the earth, other than for example like the fungus from LSD is supposed to have grown on grain.

but basically it is kind of the same.... an organism forms a symbiose with either the earth or other plants and it's fruits produces psychoactive effects for humans to devour the fruits.

Aahh this post is a bit far back but it kind of bugs me... you seem to think of LSD like many people I've seen.. as some sort of produced miracle in a lab? ..but it is in ergot! A fungus! so why the distinction? (correct me if I misinterpreted)

Wellll the very FIRSt psychedelic experiences I had were with LSD, SO many years back it was actually in PILL form! We're talking 1971.
You know what they say about your first love...? Well LSD really did wipe away a lot of shit.

Anyone who isnt claiming that those indications dont all come from mushrooms is agreeing with me , so if they argue with me about it they must have diferent reasons/ulterior motives . And they should "Go forth and multiply" as the bible puts it .

I was never saying that. That ALl peoples, tribes, Indigenous peoples, for ever into the past took Sacred Mushrooms be they Fly Agaric, shrooms. No I am not saying that.

But what I Am saying is, I am not ready yet to dismiss--because I have read a couple of GOD's posts--Allegro's works regarding the SIGNIFICANCE of the MUSHROOM presence in pagan and biblical mythology, and possible use amongst ancinet Indigenous peoples

For one, out of most of the entheogenic plants etc, the fungi are basically ready to ingest. Of course apparently the amanita has to be dried, but magic mushrooms can be eaten raw as well as dried. And these of course can be prepared in other ways too.

When I read Allegro, and I have studied his paperback The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross so much over the years its fallin to bits. The mythical references gell TOO well for me to dismiss a powerful mushroom presence
