This is my first time preparing a cacti, i was stupid and didn't settle with a preparation method before starting the process.

I started with a method i found on erowid: http://www.erowid.org/plants/cacti/cact ... ion5.shtml

I have used two 30 cm dark green fat sand pedros. I have sliced it into small pieces, added same amount of water as cacti, mixed with a blender, and poured into a large pot. Now i cook the mucus on low heat: 1/3.

I have cooked it for 1 hour with stiring every 5 minutes, i will continue too cook it for another hour.

Next step will be to continue with Tryptonaut's method: http://psychonaut.com/index.php?option= ... bd&lang=en

The reason why i changed from the Erowid's method to Tryptonaut's method is because i am saving the cacti for the weekend and i have heard that the cacti juice only works for 24 hours.

Will this work? i am sorry if i am asking stupid questions, but i really want to make this work.

IMO mixing it in a blender will make it hard to filter in the end

Don't filter. My advice would be to add the juice of 3 oranges into your mix, cook for another hour, boil it down until its a drinkable amount. Then do not filter, and put the mixture into a closed container, and throw it into the fridge until you wanna consume it. The orange juice should kill most of the bad taste. This has been the best way I, or Ultima have came up with consuming the pedro. Good Luck...

Thank you very much! But will the total cooking process take 3 or 9 hours? Should i increase the heat on the stowe or keep it on 1/3?

two to three hours, low heat

Just simmer. You really only need an hour of cooking. If you are keeping all the plant material in the water/orange juice, then it doesn't really matter how long you cook. By not filtering, you are getting everything, fully extracted from the plant material or not. I believe this method just aids in the absorption of the mescaline as it 'extracts' most of it out of the plant material and into the water. What is left in the plant material will be broken down in your stomach, and also absorbed, but it will take longer.

Thank you!

I have a rather big amount of material now, i will think it is 4 litres.

My first and only concern is to get as much out of the cacti as possible, so if more cooking will decrease the effect i will not do it. But if the only reason is to reduce the time, i would use some more time to lower the amount.

I have cacti, water and 4 oranges in the mix. 4litres total. Asumed to be a trip for 4 people

"I have heard that the cacti juice only works for 24 hours."

I`ve never heard that before . Where was that please ?

Next time slice the green skin off and just use that . If you put it in a little water and put it in the freezer at -20°C and leave it there over night then thaw it and do that 3 or 4 times then you can blend it better . I used to then cook it in a preasure cooker with different water 3 times . After the first time you can blend it again and you get it even smaller .

I cooked the mixture for about 4 hours on very low heat.
Poured the mix into two containers and put them in the fridge.
6 hours later, the mixture is devided into two layers of thick green mass and a transparent yellow mix that is on top.
Poured all the yellow liquid into one container and the green mass to another.

What can i do now to lower the amount?
i've heard that you can put the green mass in an owen and make powder off of it, as done by Tryptonaut: http://www.psychonaut.com/index.php?opt ... 92&lang=en

But will this decrease the effects at all? and what should i do with the yellow liquid?

"what should i do with the yellow liquid?"

Drink it ?

Thank you!

The next thing i need to know is what to do with the green "pulp?", can i heat it slowly in the oven and reduce it to a fine powder? will it reduce the effect at all?

If you have extracted it right , mixed the resulting extracts , filtered the residue and cooked it downyou should be left with a snot like liquid . So cook all of what you have down , without burning it , and drink it . Putting it in the fridge wont hurt it . Everything else should be thrown away .

GOD a dit:

Any specific filter? Coffe? cloth?

Thank you

Tshirt . But maybe someone else has some other ideas . So better wait til tonight to see other replys .

T-shirt works perfect. I used a t-shirt and it didn't take long at all and go rid of pretty well everything. Make sure you squeeze all the juice out of the material.

Thank you!

1. Should i now cook the yellow liquid? boil or heat? for how long?
2. Should i throw away the green restaining pulp?

Any additions that i need to after cooking? tips please

Now i have filtered it, and the green/yellow liquid is in a large pot on the stove.

Does it matter if it boils?

I think better not boil it , just simmer it down . It should be the consistancy of thin snot afterwards . You should already know about how much sacrament is in your mixture so try to get it down to a quantity that you could drink = not more than a cupfull for a dose .

Highly recommended that you boil it down to almost nothing. I had a little more than a 500mL water bottle, which equaled to over 10 shots. Each shot was horrible. And in the end, the pedro was very weak, ended in slim to nothing experience:(
