need some info on my plant

friend of me said I had to remove the marked leaf on the photo below, because they don't form buds anyway..

I thought this might be true, is it?

NO! dont do that

every leaf either "powers" a bud or a bud stalk. what you have outlined will be one of the main flower buds.

ignore any advise your friend gives you, he doesnt know what he's talking about

looks just like mine atm, i overwatered slightly, the colour marking come out a couple days later, nothing to be concerned about, like everyone said.. leave the leaf on
