Is extracted DMT and synthetical DMT similar in it's effect?

"trademarks' such as this are the way that a distributor/chemist gets a word-of-mouth buzz. or a 'rep' so that these things stand out from the crowd.

The problem is, with illicit markets, there is no such thing as a copyright or trademark under protection, and you end up with a LOT of mystery and confusion where none should exist.

These black-market trademarks are usually easily duplicated, and the
not-so scrupulous ones among us are quick to capitalize on a good rep, by turning out fake, or weak shit that will sell really well, based on the word of mouth that somebody else worked so hard to generate.

No the question is if the effects that one could get fro pure DMT are comparable to the effects of a mixed alkaloid extraction . Yes they are comparable but no they arent the same . If you purifyed the extracted DMT , wich for us mortals without a laboratory is imposible , the effects would be the same = DMT = DMT . A mixed alkaloid extract is exactly what it says ..... mixed . Non of the plants that contain DMT contain it as the only alkaloid .

Thanks , thats the first time i`ve laughed in the last month !!! The bit about the brownish colour of not pure MDMA was also enlightening . I know a guy who bought himself a kilo and what he throws around at partys is always beige . I always thought that it was oxidation and / or cut . I have seen it as a white crystal but also like a light grey crystal like substance that looked like very small pieces of broken porcelane .

A drop of Methyl Red would do the trick to , have no effect and leave no taste .

In placebo tests red pills are felt to be stronger than other coloured pills .

Hi GOD,

Its funny, I was about to talk about that very thing....a younger cat that I know says that they've began color-coding commercial pills here in the usa, the more bright, flourescent colors such as yellow, orange, red, are MDA, and the blues and greens are MDMA....I thought he was kidding, but based on my limited experience with what he had, ( about 5 different episodes ) I think he was right....

and yes, you are totally correct in that mixed alkaloid extractions are usually not equal to pure synthetic dmt.....

But people, there is a technique called recrystallization which requires
one to dissolve the crude product in a minimal amount of boiling solvent and slowly cooled.....the crap stays in the solvent and the crystals fall out...you can obtain VERY high purity this way, but it wastes some product, and you must choose the solvent very carefully.

If the solvent is too good, it'll not let go of your dmt, not good enough and it will not hold it...

I bet ether would be a good defatting solvent for crude dmt....

I dont think dmt HCL is soluble in ether......

So, what I am saying is that it is probably a lot like purifying MDMA...

High Spice , i did read about using 12% amonia to clean up purifyed DMT crystals after the ether bit ....... but......... as i said my science goes as far as making a cup of tea .

Well, that may not be true....after taking a peek at TIHKAL #6, DMT,
I realize that there is no such animal as dmt.hcl........

Shulgin recrystallized DMT with what is called a 'two-phase'
recrystallization, using two solvents; benzene and methanol...

I will dig out a book or two and return with some info on recrystallizing w/ two solvents.....

Spice , Thanks for thinking about me and showing me so much respect and thanks for the explanation , but i didnt think you were refering to me anyway . Its interesting what uncle Alexander says there in Tihkal , i have seen references in books and papers to a HCL salt , it probably shows that , as usual , most of the writers are just copying things from other sources and havent made the salt themselves . I notice anomalys like this lots of times in "drug" literature and it anoys me and i think it is often the reason why people argue about "drug" "facts" . Only people who have actualy done the chemistry......... like you with MDMA are qualifyed to talk about the facts . The others are just asuming things .
