We are organizing a manifestation (appearance), which could take an european scale, in the French-speaking section: we try to mobilize most of psychonauts or persons in favour of psychonautism in Europe to march in strategic points of the city of Paris to assert and cry out loud and clear our values, and which could stop the mix between junkies and psychonautes...

As I said in the french section, I have a bad feeling about this, I feel like whatever we do the people aren't ready to understand what we are, plus the cops could really give us a very bad time (considering we're "promoting" something illegal).

And I also think that a lot of junkies will join this manifestation when they hear about it, make a mess and give us an even worse image.

...but maybe that's just me being too pessimistic.

I think we could tie a few teenagers who put themselves "trippin'" on Salvia on Youtube, then stone them to death and have a big poster "WE'RE NOT THE SAME".

...I still have some doubt about the educational value of this method, but boy would it be relaxing.

I have had and sugested other ideas . You will see them . But ideas are ideas and doing them is doing them .

I have an idea, maybe stupid, but it's the only one I have for the moment :

1) Let's gather all scientific data we have on entheogens, favorable and not favorable.

2) Let's gather historical data about prohibition (such as alcohol in the US in the 1920s).

3) Explain to what extent the government in Holland chose the right decision to make a distinction between mushrooms/cannabis and the rest

4) Gather actual statistics about psychedelics (people love statistics, they trust them) such as disease rate, mental illness rate etc.

5) Explain clearly why prohibition is worse than a regulated legalization

6) And in order to make people aware if those 5 previous point, the only way is to rely on mass media. Obviously, people will never let us broadcast this on the radio, let alone TV. So let's make a well-made video, something really well done, with fine graphics, well-chosen off-screen voice, fine off-screen music and broadcast it on Youtube, Dailymotion, and all sites that can support video and sound.

I dont agree with the idea of burying the information on a video in youtube though . Youtube is full of videos and they dont change anything .

The problem is bringing the information to the masses in a way that they can accept and understand . Another part of it would be to study why all the effeorts that have been made up to now have failed and not fall into the same traps . Some of the reasons why things have failed is because they were unrealistic , they didnt reach the masses , no one went to the actions , people just organised them for their egos and people put the money in their pockets .

There should be no money at stake, otherwise this project will collapse. And we should create an association with selected members, because our credibility will collapse if members are ex-junkies or just teenagers with no real convictions. It may look like elitist, but we can't convince people with drug victims.

Youtube is full of videos and they dont change anything .

Though I agree YouTube is limited, videos in general may very well bring about change. Of course, much depends on the video. If the video mentions Erowid for example, the person may visit Erowid after watching the video, and learn something useful. That's a positive change. The video itself may contain practical instructions, leading to positive changes.

So let's make a well-made video, something really well done, with fine graphics, well-chosen off-screen voice, fine off-screen music

I'm all for it. Start writing a script.
