CaduceusMercurius a dit:I don't agree. I'd say books like the Bible and the teachings surrounding them make people blind and thus potentially evil. Psychedelic shamanism is the only useful and beneficial aspect of what Christianity once was, unfortunately it's exactly that aspect which has been abandoned and forgotten. Without the psychedelic experience, the Christian initiation is empty ritual, its values superficial, its ethics artificial, and when you do have psychedelics at hand, what need is there for Christian myth and dogma?Jahvisions a dit:The point that i trying to make is that christians are not bad but the human itself and then use the bible to do bad things and call themself christians whereas it has nothing to do with Christ or the bible.
the bible makes nobody blind. from trustable sources (he is a really smart guy, and in no way a christian), I know that the bible is basically a wonderful good book.
BUT what you mean, is what the christians make of it. take, for example, the fundamental christians, those are the real bastards. (the president of the usa is one f.e., to be exact: he is evangelicale.)
and I don't think it's good to blame every christian. there certainly are smart christians, who are open to almost everything. I met one at a metal-concert, smoked some weed with him, and we somehow we came to that topic. (we were at a tribune, and before us sat an old man sleeping (children of bodom just a few metres making music before him ^^), and he wore a rosary)
there is one thing I want to know: how would those christians who bash on the doors of others to tell them about, lets say jehova, or the book mormon. how would they react if I bashed on their door, and told them everything about atheism?
from my point of view, there is no difference between telling an atheist about god and telling christians about atheism.
Unfortunatly no such christian talked to me in a while ^^. but when...
