With all due respect , not wanting to cause trouble in your thread , i humbly beg to differ / explain .

I was happily reading the thread , had no problems , untill it got hijaked and turned into a sick "The life of brian" type "bible" study session . I cant stand lies , bigotry and hipocracy . People who preach water and drink wine . iresponsible people , wearing psychelogical blinkers that are also closed at the front , living in some perverse "the spirit of jesus" / "jesus loves you" nightmare . Denying their own responsibilitys , hiding from reality in a childish fantasy world .

The broadside was directed at that . I have no problem with the people that abused me , my "childhood" or weak people with their pseudo religeons / fascist propoganda , i feel sorry , disgusted and shame for them all . christianity is just another alibi religeon , they dont go to church , dont read their scriptures , dont even know what christians believe or what it realy says in the "bible"s . christians dont believe in heaven and hell . mary wasnt a virgin and jesus wasnt god . jesus was a militant jewish fundamentalist ( he probably looked very much like His Holyness Sheik Osama Bin Ladin and was concidered by the religeous / political leaders of the time to be a dangerous religeous fanatic and fundamentalist terrorist ) he didnt want to start a new religeon and he didnt tell people to tell lies , twist gods word , worship books , symbols , days , places , uniforms , people or names = fashion / politics / dogma and not religeon . Its a proxy religeon where they have no direct contact to god and need false prophets , priests and popes , a totalitarian hyerarchie , to contact god for them . Where they have to feel guilty , have faith and wait till they die to be blessed . In the real religeon everybody is equal , everything is holy and we can all have direct contact to "God" , to the white light that is within us and all around us . We only have to look for it ; ask and you will get an answer , knock and the door will be opened , seek and you will find . Its a fearless selfless way of living , the proof that a person has seen the white light and learned to love god , themselves and the universe . That they have grown up .

You dont need to apologize to me ever. The thing is, I recognize exactly your standpoint regarding christians. I was thinking just like you. When I read this topic back now, I think what a bad joke I tried to make.

This morning I was driving home after visiting a friend, I saw a lot of what we call black socks christians. Normally that would have caused me to think negative about them, react to them, not accepting them ,actually placing myself above them.

This time, I looked out my window and gave each and everyone a warm and loving smile.

It's 'only' a change of perspective. I remember from the book 'Conversations with God' from Neale Donald Walsch the following hint: There is one question you can ask yourself in basically any situation and then act accordingly. That question is: What would love do?

1st one is personal, second is about culture and society and the third one is universal. In the first book, Walsch lets God say that God will dictate three books. Walsch wrote about 15 eventually I think, but the first three books contain the important stuff in my opinion.

A christian enviroment is tough to be true, and I won't even debate "bad for health" as its quite believable. Really its just that people use christianity as a way to place their bs (can we say bs here?) on mankind. It seems to me that christianity should be the easiest religion on the planet if it was what they make it sound like... gods free gift... if free however means fine print, then fk them. I tend to take the no fine print or gott is tot view, but idk. I certainly could use a break from christianity, even if I'd have to go to rehab, heh. christians scare me. but SSRIs make me love everyone, seriously, and 3 (grams of welbutrin is the most trippy thing I have ever experienced though more objects than patterns is where it differs from acid)... really christianity thrives and almost wants people to hate it... so indifference is your best weapon, but your young, so you can hate if you like.

what I hate about Christianity is that while I dont openly disagree with what the ideals are (my family is protestant and so am I by association) I definately don't believe the same thigns as my parents I wish there was some faith in which nature was properly respected. My friend and I had a bit of an epiphany while on mushrooms a few weeks back about how when youre in nature you get this feeling of perfection that you cant get anywhere else and I suppose thats what christians would call God but for me its different than that its more like nature is a spiritual being all its own and I wish there was some sort of faith that revolved around that idea I dont know really what this has to do with the previous posts lol but I just thought id give you my cents worth

I don't agree. I'd say books like the Bible and the teachings surrounding them make people blind and thus potentially evil. Psychedelic shamanism is the only useful and beneficial aspect of what Christianity once was, unfortunately it's exactly that aspect which has been abandoned and forgotten. Without the psychedelic experience, the Christian initiation is empty ritual, its values superficial, its ethics artificial, and when you do have psychedelics at hand, what need is there for Christian myth and dogma?

Agreed. But one could ascertain which opinions/religions give verifiable results (direct experience of the divine, i.e. a genuine mystical experience) and which only make promises (entrance into the kingdom of heaven after death, the return of the messiah/prophet/avatar at the end of the world, blessings of the god(s) after years of sacrifice etc.).

We (the shamans) offer instant experiences of enlightenment. We also offer an extremely logical explanation for the otherworldly experiences recorded in the scriptures. We have correctly recognized Soma, Manna, Ambrosia and a host of other mysterious sacraments described in scriptures as psychedelic agents. Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism are all firmly rooted in the psychedelic experience, and their current forms are valid only to the extent that they offer their followers psychedelic initiation.

This much can be said with absolute certainty.

It seems there is currently an unwritten rule in New Age circles that you're not supposed to openly criticize other paths, because "all paths lead to the same goal." Also those involved in Interfaith Dialogue will say all religions are valid, that all religions essentially say the same thing.

I don't think shamans can or should go along with such lines of thinking. I think that especially in the current global crisis we have to speak boldly on this matter. Not in an arrogant and offensive manner, but with conviction.
