Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years. Our Senators and
Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect
from it.
You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare
elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So,
many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.
In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all,
it is a great plan.
For all practical purposes their plan works like this:
When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.
Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments.. For
example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw
$7,800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their
wives drawing $275, 000.00 during the last years of their lives.
This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries.
Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the
rest of their lives.
Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. NADA..! ZILCH...
This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the
tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the
General Funds; "OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK "!
From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every
payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer). We can expect to
get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement. Or, in other words, we would
have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1)
month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!
Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.
That change would be to: Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the
Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us
Then sit back..... And see how fast they would fix it.
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe
good changes will evolve.

In Oklahoma last week a law was passed which criminalized Americans who move illegal immigrants (by car for example). The reality of this law is that if you see someone in the street dieing from an accident, you have to ask for their identification first and if they can't show them, you just have to leave them dieing because you could face a year in prison for moving an illegal immigrant.

There are 10 steps in 'the' blue print to a fascist state. The US is at step seven currently. Google/youtube for Naomi Klein and watch the shock doctrine to get what I mean.

Like Hitler Bush governmen has:

1) Created a internal and external, impossible to focus on, enemy (muslims)
2) Decreasing civil rights
3) Creating a Gulag (SS/Blackwater and similar private military)
4) Create prisons which are above the law and where torture takes place.
5) Create a sense of patriotism in such a way, that anyone questioning it, will be looked at with suspicion.
6) Start to harress groups of people
7) start to deport groups of minorities.
8) Spread the gulag throughout the country to establish a shadow army, reay to strike (in this respect, think about Bushes recent remarks about 'pro actively sent the army to regions which can be hit by disaters like floods and fires.

What gets me is that as an American I will be paying social security for the rest of my working life as an American but I will never see a dime of Social Security while people who have never payed a cent in taxes are going to be able to get SS.
As far as I'm concerned in 10 years or less I hope to move to a different country, preferably the Netherlands.
This isn't aimed at saying immigrants shouldn't be able to get SS but rather how horrible the US government is.

Well you are paying also for all those prisons which are used to lock up hundreds of thousands of non violent, non criminal cannabis users, the war in Iraq, the upcoming war in Iran, the destabilization of South American countries to enable Bush and the rest of that mafia to take out the oil without paying decent prices etc..

1) Justin Ned- I hate to be the one to break this to you, but the US government SPENT ALL THAT social security money
about 40 years ago in a place formerly known as French Indochina, aka Viet Nam. Yes, there used to actually BE a real Hedge fund where all the $ paid in was saved, and kept for your retirement. I wanted to say this somewhere and might as well do it here. I have never been a politically inclined kind of person, or so I referred as to myself, but I just can't stand this American government elite running things under strings with lies and terrorism anymore, they make me sick, it's really impressive all the shit that they have managed to pull and it pisses me off. I live in one of the so called "third world countries" (by the way, I hate that term, even though a lot of people use it without thinking much about it, it implies that somehow I live in a "less civilized" country because we apparently have less money than America, which is total bullshit, I have the same commodities or maybe more than your average "first" world citizen) and the guy running things here bows before the empire and FUCK THAT, they come off with this fake image of helping us and other lies when in reality they don't give shit about us thinking we are their backyard and in fact are messing things up more with their stupid ignorant corrupt bullshit travesty war on drugs.

But I am HAPPY because I see that people are waking up and good people all over the world are uncovering their dirt with facts and research and questions and I can feel it, there this big surging BACKLASH that is going to blow up or something in the future.
