Ok well just a little update on my whole situation, i got caught skipping one of my classes on friday. Im getting my computer taken away for 30 days[because thats how long marijuana stays in your system and im getting drug tested for it then]. What aggravates me is that she atomaticly connects anything bad I do to drugs, when i got caught i wasnt even smoking or high or anything and i havent been caught smoking for a while. Ill be on every once and a while if i can sneek on but please while im gone help me come up with some sort of way to convince her that my way of life is not going to turn me into some crackhead bum[we live in a ghetto area so we see alot of those]. I can stop smoking for those 30days but that wont solve the problem so please like i said help me branstorm something up to say to her that could even remotly change her mind. But if i do smoke during those 30days and my test comes up positive then i go to rehab for 8 months [i went there once and if i go back it has to be for that long]. Now dosent that seem a bit out of hand or is it just me? and rember this is all for marijuana, she hasent found out about the psychedelics, but you can be sure that if i have a choice im not going to tell her about that.

If she trusts all this dogma over the word of her son and the facts of history, especially pertaining to cannabis use, which has been around longer than many of the nations of this world and has caused no adverse effects on mankind other than the inhalation of the smoke itself and the meaningless prohibition based on a simply monopoly; then there is no hope to change her now hardened hatred for all things unconventional, unregulated and mystic.

I would and can only suggest trying to hide all of this newborn enthusiasm and expansion from her and her kind until a time where it is out of her control to send you anywhere against your will; as much as this sucks.

It seems as though nothing that anyone can say, (unless by force of 100 uniformed physicians all following a creed of open-minded exponential metaphysical growth and potential) will change her mind on the subject. This is painful but there doesn’t seem to be any one liner that can contend against the massive input against our freethinking and using culture of psychedelia. There is just too much liberalism and misinformation to contest against; to a point where it’s not worth attempting with those who will believe nothing else.

Sorry about the lack of help, but really, with a situation such as this, there is no course of action other than espionage and secrecy. Just hold out until you gain what little freedom is available in this world at the moment; a small degree of privacy and understanding.

my advice would be to stop smoking for 30 days, but don't give your parents right on the situation. show them you are able to stop.

maybe you can try this: stop longer than needed for the test, try to prove this to your parents. after that, tell your parents you will restart smoking.

cheating is interesting because you can continue smoking, but if you get caught, it's hard to convince them you're not an addict.

about stockpiling piss, did you know you can actually produce piss powder that lasts for years? just let the water evaporate from your piss and scrape the powder. when needed: add water.

i would advise the honest way, but if you are about to leave home in a year or so (to live on yourself), cheating works good i think.

Um... this reminds me of that time when I was sent to a ward for suicidal depression (a few years ago), I saw this stoner kid that was interned for weed. At least during group (they'd bring the youth together, no matter their problems), he seemed kind of broken, and vowed to stop altogether, based on the fact that another kid had a coke problem, and started out with pot. About your parrents, just go cold turkey for a while and let them read about drugs or talk to them about drugs (thats what i did with my parrents).
Its true that parents seem to blame every bad thing that happens in life on drugs.
Problem with drugs is that alot of people dont know anything about them, most people consider them as bad or poisonous.
Education & communication is the way.
Of cource the US have a completely different approach on the problem sadly.

I decided that i was going to stop smoking for the time being [i want to get a job and they test you], and to talk to my mom about drugs and we must have talked for a good 4 hours about the U.S. and drugs and came to the conclusion that the law[and her] have the whole drug thing blown way out of puportion.. How the conversation ended was her saying and i quote "As long as you dont let it interfere with school or anything else important and you are sure that is what you want to do, im ok with that. But since it IS tec. illegal for god sakes atleast hide it from me so i dont get in trouble for condoning this activity" ................ inside i think i exploded with joy and suprise at the same time because the conversation diddnt seem like it was heading in that direction.

But i basicly bombarded her with everything i know about anything that had to do with drugs, the good and the bad.

We also came to the conclusion that if i start using coke,crack,meth,herion, ect.. that i am to be punished heavely, and to seek help right away. beacause i deffinatly dont want to be involved in all of that and if by chance i do get involved [i highly doubt that though] that its not going to have a positive effect like psychedelics.. the only reason i bring that up is because i live in the ghetto remember.

I want to spend the weekend in the woods drinking ayahuasca[sp?] because its been far to long since my last spiritual experience and im starting to feel like a lay person again . So next i have to get some facts about ethenogens and what not because i havent tolled her about the shaminism thing yet. I dont think that she will be quite accepting to another religion as she was to our previous conversation. especally considering that im using 'drugs' as part of it. Because she 'approved' them on a for fun basis, but i guess the only way to tell how she will react is for me to try as ive just learned.

Oh and i havent smoked for about a week now and i dont know if its just me or what but do you guys notice a change intulectually [spelling is still crapp though ]. Ive also been doing a shitload better in school..

Well you could introduce this shamanic aspect through the instinctive origins of Christianity and all other world religions in psychedelic shamanism and astral worship.

The entire Christian faith is built off psychedelic use and the study of the heavens. The concepts of god, Jesus, 12 disciples; all of it came from the worship of the sun, the constellations of the zodiac and the contact of the spirit world through the use of Amanita, Psilocybe and other sacraments such as cannabis (in the Muslim world, which gave rise to Judaism and thus Christianity) as a means of contacting god and the divine. All of these things are anthropomorphised into symbolism as actual people or distinct events rather than astrological phenomenon through the religious texts.
Jesus is just another symbol for the sun, god’s sun that dies on the cross (southern cross constellation) and rises again. It’s all been contorted through the church as a means of control for the masses.

Easter, Christmas, pretty much all religious holidays are based off cosmic cycles (procession of the equinoxes, birth and death of the sun, the movement through the ages ect…) and the birth and seeming ‘rebirth’ of the amanita muscaria mushroom (as a microcosm of the sun itself) and other entheogenic rituals.

I recommend the Pharmacratic inquisition, although it is long and slow to progress; it encompasses the major themes of psychedelics and astrotheology in the rise of world religion.

I’m not going to go into the heavy details and symbolism, because it’s all much too complex and it’s all contained within the research covered in that video, and also in an abundance of text on the net. Do some reading and you’ll have plenty of psychological ammunition to use if you are challenged with your new beliefs by your Christian mother.

Glad to hear your mother has stopped hastling you about your cannabis use and has become more accepting, However you state yourself your doing better with out it.

I dont mean to sound like a kill joy but if you have anything big comming up in school and you personally feel you do better with out weed maybe you should look at tripping once in a while and smoking the same but maybe with a little more frequency but know when its not a good idea.

As long as you don't smoke daily, I don't think it's a problem. But even Cannabis can have very negative effects on you as soon as you need it daily. I've been there and I've seen many other people being there. Having a bong instead of breakfast isn't good, but I've done it anyways...
In my opinion there are very few people who can smoke weed on a daily basis living a normal life without feeling the slightest addiction. I know one person who can. All the others quit sooner or later because they realized it was better for them. I quit because I was forced to - I got more and more psychotic from smoking weed until it was easier to quit than to keep on smoking...

So... you gotta find out for yourself how much weed is good for you. There's no hard line between addict and not an addict - as soon as you like something you're a little addicted. What matters is how strong that addiction is and how it influences your life. I am for instance a cigarette addict - the addiction is pretty strong, I need cigarettes on a daily basis and I would probably walk a mile in the middle of the night only to get cigarettes. However the addiction doesn't influence my life a lot because I can act normally and I don't miss anything because of the cigarettes. That's what is important for me: as soon as an addiction makes me miss stuff I would have normally done it can't be good anymore.
In the past I've missed out on parties or even skiing trips because I didn't have weed to take with me. I thought this kind of addiction was pretty annoying and I'm glad I'm over it (by the way quitting the weed wasn't that hard once I was really determined, I guess it's gonna be harder with the cigarettes...)

Ya things are deffinatly getting better in life right now. i smoked for the first time in a few weeks today and let me tell you... i havent been that high since when i started smokeing. I loved it. so now im just going to smoke every once and a while and just get really high rather then kinda high daily.

On a side note im going shrooming for the first time in this city on sunday, so wish me luck that i do well .

Im going to go post a salvia trip report right now if you guys want to go read it.. it was my first time.

If you’re eating hash or vaporising oil daily, I think a lot of the bad effects generally don’t dominate the experience; but still, twice to three times every week would be the best way to go about regular use, if not have it as a weekly event in good company. And high potency is essential, less smoke and effort for a better high, no complaints!

Chronic use? You may it sound like a disease, maybe you should use the word 'marihuana' instead Or: Some people are having a glass of wine per day, sometimes two. Nobody calls them chronic alcoholics now right?

And true effects are debatable, artists may enjoy a daily light bummer early harvested bud in the morning (when the trychomes are mostly cloudy and a few clear) and enjoy a stimulated creative flow throughout the day. Personally I enjoy that when work allows although I admit I have to be careful not to overdo it and completely loose focus.

Psilocybin can be used daily in moderate doses to increase visual acuity, This means you could possibly stop wearing glasses or contacts if your eye's are not off way too much by taking a minimal, under threshold dose daily. You can also use a big dose to induce one of the most intense and overwhelming experiences known to man. Which effects are more true? The visionary or the eye upgrade?

My point is, you can enjoy the effects of cannabis daily as long as you make it use and not abuse of habit and if you smoke one or two joints per day, the effects are not degrading at all.

When I say chronic, I mean it in the best sense of personal, ultra frequent use; that’s daily smoking on average 1-3 grams, mixed, in a bong and only getting 8 cones from that because of the amount packed into them and the size of the cone; for an example of my use.
This only leads to a degradation of the effects over long term, thus not being the ‘truly’ powerful high that cannabis should entail every time. I personally would never achieve a truly satisfactory high if smoking this frequently and in such amounts; as I have experienced in the past with use I would deem chronic.

I don’t think ‘marijuana’ is a term that should be used at all, no matter what context. It only represents the ignorance about the substance and its use by those who are non-using, misinformed prohibitionists and as you have said, abusers who don’t know anything about the substance other than the deemed, perceived effect on their petty mental faculty. There’s no respect, and this often leads to the term chronic being used, yet in my personal case I just used much too frequently and in excess; mostly because of the nicotine addiction.

Joints utilise a lot more bud in their consumption and yet give a less satisfactory or efficient high and so would be worse for your body (in smoking terms, especially in upper lung damage with frequency) and give you less effect; this would give the illusion of it being a stronger high with prolonged use and routine, whilst only leading in my view to faster addiction if mixed and an illusory effect of a constant pinnacle of effectiveness. I’m not saying joints are in any way bad (besides there much larger tar count in consumption), but smoking them and only them in a frequent daily fashion only leads to the suppression of the better effects faster and gives more damage if only used in this way over time. Bongs too give this with constant and long term usage and so the term chronic is the best way of describing this degree.

And chronic alcoholics? That’s really anyone who drinks in excess of one drink per day or in any regularity; alcohol is poison (would you drink turpentine or methanol?) and shouldn’t be classed in the same way or even uttered in the same sentence as cannabis.

And with psilocybin, I don’t think I would use something as divinatory and sacred as a mere supplement to my vision. That’s desecration to the true reality of the experience. It’s like using anything as a benign and novel substitute for real relief of any of our petty discomforts. Disrespect to its purpose other than personal gain.
Its like trying to sterilise nature and put it into some kind of plastic wrap and place it in a supermarket for commercial sale; urgh…

If you are under age nobody should be advising you to take drugs or dodge the law , thats VERY dumb and illegal . And you are the one that must take the concequencies . You sound prety sensible , follow your own common sense . Sit down and think about it and be honest with yourself . Always ACTION , then THOUGHT , and then REACTION . Less is more as you have allready said . 30 days is nothing as far as stoping is concerned , 30 days in rehab or detention is BIG SHIT . After 30 days the next step is being locked up or mental hospital if you are unlucky , and that can fuck you up for life . You are young you dont have to rush anything , and at your age if you cant stop for 30 days you definately have a drug and / or attitude problem . If you havent got a girl friend try spending as much time trying to find one as you spend thinking and talking about drugs and the problem will solve itself . Drugs are a bit like driving or swimming , you have to learn about it first , otherwise one day you will find yourself in deep shit . Read as many books as you can and learn to walk before you try to fly .

Drugs dont solve problems , but if one learns to use them properly they can help a person to solve their problems . You cant run away from yourself no matter how many drugs you take . There are a lot of good people here telling you good things and some who obviously have problems themselves and are telling you CRAP . Learn to sort the wheat from the chaff .
