I'm thinking about modifying my jars by cutting a 1*2cm hole in the lids and taping smething like micropore over them for better GE. Currently I have 2 holes and cover the lid with tin foil, which seems to provide enough, but perhaps it would benefit from more. Any suggestions?

Pins are very cheap and come perfectly sterile every time. I'd never consider reusing or trying to sterilise. Also I don't like leaving them unwrapped around the house. The way the pins are manufactured means that even pushing the needle through substrate shears off metal, they are designed to...

OK, after some searching, found a much cheaper source who have agreed to leave the product as bark not powder as advertised. Jahvisions - do you extract or use the powder straight?

I've been watching an extraction tek on youtube which is pretty comprehensive, but calls for 400g of dried cactus. The shops I see on the web sell dried bark for about £10 per 12 g, which means £335 for the tek, although at the end of the vid there's hardly any caps made, maybe 6 doses. Am I...

Thought I'd add a quick tip about barrels and pins as mushroom people often aren't too familiar with using syringes. Ideally use a yellow and red sharps bin and bring to a disposal center (here in the UK some pharmacies will take them, some tattooists will, all drug centres and needle exchanges...

How did you sterilise the jars? If a steamer, how long did you leave them before adding spores?
