First, I don't know why no one has had anything to say about this?! This is really good stuff.

Thanks to them, as of this week, I can now make declarative statements like “psychedelic experiences can leave you permanently more creative, curious and open-minded,” with solid experimental data to back that up. That’s pretty rad. I mean, fact is, I could have made that statement previously, but because my research is qualitative, a skeptic could interpret me as a biased druggie and discount my interpretation.

Awesome! That's something that I'd like to be able to say with authority in day to day life.

I read the 1996 paper which on mystical experiences and your response article referenced in the quote above. The live science article headline lead me to believe that they would attempt to put a negative spin on this research. They didn't. But, as you stated in one of a couple of your articles that I read, it would be really hard to make the results of this study "sound" like anything negative could be extrapolated from it. The CBS article is sure to point out that some subjects reported anxiety. That's a pretty small cost for permanently increased openness and creativity. I think that this research is certainly a step in the right direction. It would be amazing for medical science to validate the usefulness of psychedelics in a way that the general populace can appreciate.

PS: I'd love to read the full text of the article where he makes the openness claim. Thank you!

This is the most important recent study that I've read, thanks a lot for sharing this, and your article enlight a lot of things, thanks also for this.
If anyone read this and know other studies, I'm interested, most of them are from the 60s (like this one : Psychedelics in problem-solving experiment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Thanks for the links. Not all are working "only" 5.5 years later. Consider updates on this forum from time to time. Knowledge like that helps tremendously those who are either on the fence, or those who want to maximize their experience.
