Does anyone know how this is made? I imagine that its simply a case of calculating the quantities of gelatin, water and substance required, making a solution of the substance, then dissolving the gelatin and pouring it out into a square tray as thinly as possible, then slicing into appropriately sized squares. Can anyone confirm this?

I've heard that they pour it onto the plastic fluorescent light covers from a drop ceiling. The texture on the light cover had dimples for each dose. I recently had one fall out of a ceiling, and I took a look...it seems like it might be right.
I suppose if you fill it just perfectly, then there will be a thin film of gelatin connecting the hits, which seems about right from when I've seen "sheets" of windowpane slightly connected.
