What is the defenition of drugs?

I've been wondering what the defintion of drugs would be? And is drugs something 'bad' then? Because why would the governement make magic mushrooms or marihuana illegal? It is something that has been used for over million years, as medication, part of religious rituals,...
I think the main reason why it's illegal is because of POLITICS, of course because they can't put taxes on something that grows in your own garden (i mean things that just grow without human-beings planting it). Nobody would buy the chemical stuff anymore, and just imagin what that would do to the economy in the world.
And ok, let them fight their little war with drugs, but then they should start with the drugs that have actually killed people, like Heroin, Cocaine, ... All the chemical shit you can get addicted to. Even cigarettes and alcohol. How many people have died because of smoking or drinking too much alcohol? 3 million people? maybe even more. How many people died of smoking weed or smoking Salvia? none!
My point is, get rid of all the predeterment values so we can experiment in peace with all the magical herbs on this Earth for as long as we still have them.

In many parts of the U.S. they've quit trying to legally define drugs except to say that possession of a hallucenogen is bad. I've been amazed at the botanical knowlege that must have been required to indentify obscure species on sight.

Analyses of pineal glands are revealing that more and more well known drugs (or very similar compounds) are already in your body. More obviously, the circuitry that they trigger is already there. And there are so many claims that, when properly used, these substaces cure aids and cancer.

No, it's not tiny quantities that are ruining peoples' lives. Having noticed that you almost never see the drugs as they are being found on police video, I think I have an idea of what sort of politics are in play here.

I am one of millions who live in the super stricted drug enforced america i Feel that today in this sociaty there is no longer a definition of drugs any more any thing that changes your mood or perception in a good/bad way is a "DRUG" its been used so much its lost it very meaning the word "DRUG" shit cause if you think about it what is marijuana it's not a drug at all is a plant even more its a herb a natural plant well it would be very different if somewhere in a secret lab some chemist is making some super THC hybrid thats more addicting than heroin but the sad truth is thats its not its grown by hippys or mexians or who ever in my opinion any thing natural growing on earth should and not be illagal its just plain ignorent to think you can stop a human being from getting somthing that grows naturally in the ground its just not possable
