is there much can be done with the shade leaf? to make anything worthwhile..

the smaller ones have some resin on them. the larger have very little. you could try a butane extraction with some or all of it. you may get a couple of grams of honey

As cheap as butane is if you are just going to trash it deffinately try honey oil, you can search "Honey Oil Tek" on google.

i do the gas with the leaf trim from buds, this is just plain shade leaf n branches chopped off while vegging, i was thinking along the lines of using a solvent to soak it in, then evapping it off. alternatives to ethanol? chlorophyll i dont want. acetone?

Butane will work fine as a solvent. Other than that I beleive THC is very soluble in acetone and moderately soluble in alcohol.

ill whack a batch up with butane say.. 200g and see what the fairies leave me. i do have quite a bit though..

its worth doing if you have a lot. you should get 15-25g/Kg
