I live in a place where phalaris grass grows abundant, in fields, and all types, arundicae, brostychus (or w/e), and maybe even aquatica.
These plants are nimble grasses with usually some kind of seed "husk" on top, the Arundicae and picta varieties usually have something resembling that of a cat-tail but much smaller.
Anyways, I've tried the DMT Extraction method.
I gather about 150-200 Grams of grass. -[ If you attempt this do ATLEAST 1 lb!!!]
1.I've been freezing (usually only once) - [If you attempt this do it Atleast three times!!] I then chop it up in a blender, using everything, the ground material and the liquid on bottom.
2.I've been using Pool acid (Hydrochloric) to acidify, I then simmer the plant to about 100-120°F in some acid water, I don't know the PH, I usually put about 1 ml HCl to 100 ml of H2O... I let it simmer for 1-2 hours. [If you attempt this do it atleast 2 hours!!]
3. After heating the acid water that contains the chopped plant material, I then strain it, using a simple metal mesh. (I don't care how thick it is really)
[If you attempt this tek, Do step 2 TWICE to THREE times with the "pulp" or ground material.
4. After it is cooled, I add Naptha, "VM&P" Naptha, about 1/10th of the total volume of the acidified mixture. I then mix it completely, as naptha doesn't like to dissolve in anything.
I let this solution sit for about 4 hours - [If you attempt this do atleast 1 day, if not more!] This step takes out the fats.
I've read before that at this stage, a little bit of DMT escapes into the fat... I don't know what to do about that.
5.I extract all the acid solution, leaving the fats and the Naptha. For this I just use the plastic freezer bag method - cutting a corner and letting the bottom layer drain out, throwing the top layer away.
6. Now, after waiting 4 hours (a day for you!!) I add a base, Lye. At this point I use about 2-3 teaspoons of lye crystal in about 100-200 ml of water, and pour it into the solution. It usually turns a darker brown/red color at this point. I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TO ADD! PH SPIKES CAN DESTROY THE DMT! BECAREFUL. This step should be done very slowly.
7. Now the base, when poured in (slowly) should stir up bubbles, leaving them in the Naptha solution. This is called an emulsion. The harder you stir, the harder it is for the emulsion to settle, but the more DMT will be contained in the emulsion... This is tedious since you HAVE to wait for the emulsion to settle. This can take a week to 3 weeks... The top layer, when settled should be a yellowish redish color, but the clearer the more pure the cruystals.
The reason i've been saying [If you attempt this...] is because this HASN'T WORKED FOR ME AT ALL!
I've been using different species, and different waiting times and ph's and I can't get it right!
I'd appreciate others to help out on this, and maybe get some positive feedback.
Also - my next step (since i'm getting to frustrated with extraction, and the plant is soon to be dead and dried) is to get one of those wheat grass extractors, extract maybe 3-4 teaspoons, from a kilo or so of grass, and then mix it with Syrian Rue seeds.
Question(s): Can syrian rue seeds contain their Harmala and MAOI's for long periods of time? If I use 5 grams of seeds, and put in water and add lemon juice and boil till little liquid is left - this should work right?
