as anyone who has listened to me rant on the subject knows, I think the FDA are right down there with GW Bush and unrefined sewage....not worthy for the bottom of a boot.

Here's some revealing things about what they have been up to lately;

Some of the scientists who work for the FDA have gotten so fed up with the inherent rottenness that they have taken the unheard of step of writing to the President to complain. They have accused the FDA bureaucracy of some very UN-American behaivour as of late, saying the agency has been 'deeply corrupted and distorted' .

Allegations of censorship and intimidation, and the suppression of scientific debate rage throughout their complaint;

(in their words)

"Managers have ordered, intimidated and coerced FDA experts to modify scientific evaluations, conclusions and recommendations in violation of the laws, rules and regulations, and to accept clinical and technical data that is not scientifically valid."

I don't see why anyone trusts them. At some point, one has to begin questioning the gullibility and intelligence of people who won't see it for what it is, a criminal deception, treating the population as a cattle farm.

They are not a neutral scientific agency that cares.

They are a propaganda machine with a rubber stamp, that work for people who see you as an animal to profit from.

You're just a hamburger to these guys.

It[s time to wake up.

Really.

They are capitalism.

Agreed.

I suppose much of the problem is the comfort level we have collectively obtained. It's really hard to believe all these bad things when our (seeming) quality of life is so high.

Yet who, exactly, is it that is determining what we consider 'quality of life'? This is such an illusion.....hence my argument with the mass-advertise mentality we here in America are subjected to, and conditioned to, on a daily basis....we think we are better off than we actually are, simply because we aren't sleeping in fields and living in mud huts.

I know a person in the real world here, who works for a company that sells certain food products. This person has been involved in this area for a long time. They recently told me that the directive from their corporate HQ said that " every year, a sales affiliate is expected to increase his sales by 20% "

Every year. Infinitely. The real wake-up call comes when one realizes that this is standard in any sales industry.

Common sense seems to imply that this is not sustainable in the long-term, like most of the corporate rubbish which passes for 'thinking' these days.

Western way of life not sustainable? Not really breaking news... The only problem is that nobody wants to see that, not us who benefit from this way of life, nor the others, who wish they could in a not too far future.

Wakeup call hasn't arrived yet... Only question is when.

But it seems the thread has drifted a little... sorry
