I just harvested mine today too. Now after I picked them, there was a lot of black powdery stuff on the rye. Are those the sporse for the next harvest?

Also, it's not going to matter that I soaked the shrooms in water to was them off is it?

They are cuttenly drying in paper!

Those are spores, but they are not for your next harvest. Next time before the mushrooms open their caps to drop the spores, you could make a print.

No, your mushrooms will be just fine. I usually wash my mushrooms as well.
