No, I still need to get the glass slides to put the prints on. I've never taken a print so I want it to be perfect.

I don't think they get too much light, The casing is not clear and I'm using foil on the top. Here is how it looks:

That's hand sanitizer in the corner in case any one is wondering.

Thats a nice system

I use transparant foil instead of the thin foil, so I can have a better look inside

I think you will like making prints, it is realy amazing how much spores can fall of a cap. Glas is a pretty way to deposite the spores. I like thinfoil for that.

I usually got about 14 grams (dried) for the first two flushes off of the kit..are those all the mushrooms you got?? 'Cause that doesn't look like 30 grams.

I like the creepers..where'd you pick up a print of that?? How's the trip??

I'd try 1.5 grams for a medium trip.

Kamizol- Eat about 2-3 grams for a good (Medium) trip. Aynthing over 3 grams and your going to trip your ass off.. Well that is assuming you are eating mexican mushies.

Dan_kNugs- I got tons from my first batch but I let them go too long and they blackened. 30grams dried.. The ones I just harvested yesterday was not really a batch.. When I harvested the first batch there was about 10 little babies growing so I left them there. Those in the picture are the babies that I left. They took an extra week to grow. So technically they are still from the first flush.

Anada- That is a serious flush!!! WOW! Did you make the cakes yourself or were they purchased??? Keepers creeper look awsome!!!

Eric- You can use thinfoil to capture spores? What exactly is thinfoil anyway? If there is something better than glass slides then I'd rather do that.

OH, Eric do you have any Keepers Creeper in the free spore library? They look killer...

Tinfoil, aluminum foil, the thing you cover left over food with.

I tripped my face off on two grams before, so I'd recommend goin' small, and workin' your way up. If i take 3 grams, I'm in space.

HelloOoO!Well i would recomend 2 grs for a medium and very good trip,start off slowly,taking high dosages can make you trip your face off...but you might not be able to enjoy the ride!

its some jars of Rye in a big Rubbermaid container with on the bottom clay pellets& honeywater and ontop of that the colonised rye and on top of the rye 2 inch's of compost
all has been in the pressure cooker for about an hour

the container has been closed since i made the casing zo no water can get out and i did't spray water on it

Wierd tek man ... you actualy pressure cooked a colonized rye cake and instead of killing the spores it originated higher yields ?! You should make a realy nice detailed explication for your technic !!

Hey, I have a dumb question...
After you make a spore print, How do you use it?

I'm assuming you need to put it in a syringe to innoculate a jar but what it the process of putting it in a syrige?

Scrape spores into a sterilized shot glass, put a just a little bit of distilled water, just enough to mix the spores up and stir them around with the tip of a sterilized needled, then pour in enough distilled water to fill the amount of needles you have. Then suck the water up.

Usualy a normal sized print is able to do up to 50 syringes, but its obvious that the bigger the spore concentration the bigger the yields... right !?

Not that it'll equal a bigget yield, but the mycellium has a better chance of growin'..and faster at that. Yield is determined by humidity and temp.
