Rumors for better highs?

I'm not really into what drugs do in the brain, so all I can tell you is that I'm pretty sure it increases serotonin in the brain a bit. I suppose taking 5-htp 30-45 minutes before smoking allows a bigger increase, but exhausts serotonin-producing cells if you do it regularly.
But I'm really not sure about what I'm saying, I could be saying bullshit. I'm just not interested enough to make some research about it...

The only thing I can remember clearly is a part of a reportage on the TV that said that when you smoke cannabis serotonin increases, up to a certain dose when it suddenly drops lower than normal. But it was television... Maybe it was propaganda trying to scare people from cannabis by making them think it's gonna make them depressive...
 
Not sure, really. This may apply if you're eating the herb, but if you're smoking it-- it doesn't matter what you have in your stomach.
Though-- if you've had some Vodka, it makes for an interesting high.

Eating food and drinking milk bring my high down. I can't speak for everyone, but I try to not drink anything but water when needed when I smoke.

The Trick to a good high, is good music, nothing to make you paranoid, complete comfort, and an open soul mostly.
Thats it, no need to combine what's already perfect
although a shot or so doesn't hurt ;]

There is a book called, cannabis and meditation, its completely about getting better highs. There is also written about the food, and as far as i understood, everything has to do with your blood sugar level, and how quicly the sugars in the foods are released. Also there is written to stay off fruit juices, because on the long term the fuck up ur blood sugar level. Its better to drink somthing with fructose instead. Also stay away from alcohol and tea.

The most usefull thing from this book however was to lower your tolerance level, and that the effect of weed comes in waves, and when u take a hit before one wave has ended, u can end your high and just waiste away your weed. And always begin with a small dose, because u will always have to smoke a bigger amount afther it to get the same effect.

Afther lowering my tolerance level i have been the most high in years and at the same time i am smoking twice as less but yet fulltime everyday.

Changing ur diet for the benefit of the working of psychoactive substances is offcourse not a rumour, its plain logical
