natural selection
à la Darwin style is not appliable to humans. I, for instance, was not supposed to be alive, since i was born with serious health problems, and those problems are chronic. if it weren't for pills, antibiothics, and other drugs, i'd be dead for a long time. same happens with many, many people. we live inside a cage, nothing can harm us real bad . we have built houses and cities, and many things that are meant to separate us from nature. natural selection is not appliable when the species is not in touch with other species...this is only useful when a couple of different beings live together.
you might say we are the agents of the natural selection in our cities and in places we can control.
But at the cost of what.
Just like cutting away cancer, a part of you is cut out as well.
the problem is that the cancer does not want to die. but i agree, the cancer is a part of us. if i were labeled as "cancer", i wouldn't mind to die if it made a better world. didn't mind at all, knowing that after that, people would be educated and life would be meaningful for them.
for instance, one thing that bothers me
ad infinitum is the lack of objectives in our current world. there are no goals. "growth and stability", they say. i work, and i work like hell. they grow, not me. i can't save that much money per month. i won't even talk about stability. my peyotes are tired from travelling, and so am I.
if all this had been planned, we would live in a world so perfect, that none of us would go to work everyday, and would spend his/her time doing what he/she liked: family, friends, psychonauting, children, gardening, whatever! it just bugs me the fact that millions go to work everyday to fill the pockets of some men. and they do nothing besides waiting for our fat asses to do their work. that just pisses me off, man. that just makes me wish that the cancer was flushed down.[/b]
