Actually though I didn't buy them to butcher them, but I dont have a green thumb either, do you guys have any tips for the proper care of these plants?

The Psychotria Viridis likes lots of water , it can stand in water , and the bit that gets left in a coffee filter after you make coffee from coffee beans ocasionaly . It hardly ever needs fertiliser but you can give it some ocasionaly . It grows like a weed . It likes reflected light but it HATES direct sunlight and likes a wet atmosphere . It can take temperatures outside down to 4C. but not for long and not under that . Spray it ocasionaly with rain water , especialy if the leaves begin to shrivel because of to dry air . If you get pests spray it with water containing a few drops per gallon of biological soap , starting at the bottom from underneath working up to the top . Then a few days later do the same again with pure rain water . Tap water will not hurt it . The bigger the pot the bigger it grows . Use normal flower earth with a bit of the coffee rest that i said about at the start . I have had some standing in the same soil for ten years . You dont have to pull leaves off , enough fall off on their own if you wait a bit .

Thanks GOD thats a lot of good information.

I'll graduate the viridis up to a gallon pot and then when its good and strong I have a spot on the north side of my house which never sees direct sunlight. You say it likes used coffee grounds? How about Folgers :)

Is it pretty much the same thing for the Caapi? Its a very healthy looking plant, its roots are packed so tight in that gallon pot I'm tempted to just plant it now.

hat are "Folgers" ? Coffee grounds are good because they are a little acidic . They like lots of light but not direct sun light , i had mine behind a pergola with Morning Glory growing up it , that stood in direct sunlight . I think you should wait a few weeks untill it starts growing and then put it in a bigger pot .

B.Caapi . Lots of water , humid air and no cold . About the same as P.Viridis . A friend of mine has been growing them for about 12 years and says that they are very finiky / choosy .
