Ok, so if there's one thing I can definitely say about salvia, it's that salvia is the most comical trip ever. I still look back on the times I've smoked salvia and laugh about it.
My first salvia experience was oh, I'd say about 4 years ago, and I had bought a bit of 5x salvia off the internet after hearing about the "legal trip, used by shamans" and all that good stuff. I had never tripped on anything before and I wanted to try it, and since salvia was legal and easier at the time to obtain than other psychodelics, I gave it a shot. When I tried it I was with three of my friends sitting in my friend Bird's living room, and we all tried it but I tried it first, and so I took one big excellent hit of it and sat it down, and the next thing I know I can feel a rhythmic pounding through the entire left side of my body, and then gravity shifted on me, and instead of pushing me down onto the earth it was pushing me to my right (it was like right was the new down). So I'm sitting on a swivvel computer chair at the time, and my feet start slipping on the floor to the right, and my whole body starts to follow, so I grab onto the left arm of the chair and I'm like holding on for dear life, and my friends are watching so I'm trying to explain to them what I'm feeling, but beyond the basic "I'm moving to the right OMGWTF!!" all I'm doing is laughing and drooling slightly, and then after a minute or so of that it's just over. Fun as shit! I also did 5x with my friend Jessie once, and he's a really big guy, he was sitting on a wooden chair when he hit it and I ws sitting on the floor next to him, and after he hit it, he just sits there for a sec and then starts to fall and I barely got out of the way before he hit the ground. It was his first time and he just says "woah."
Next time I got some 10x, this was in the early months of this year, and I was going to do it with some friends again, but I wanted to test it out first so I took a tiny pinch of it and put it in a cheap bowl and smoked it while sitting on my dorm room bed, and then the room started folding in on itself like one of those paper fans you make in grade school in the summer to fan yourself off, that's what it looked like to me, of course I fall on my side to the right (gravity shift gets me every time) and then it looks as though the whole room has like a vacuum seal on it and the seal starts peeling off from one side of the room to the other, that's the only way I can describe it, and then it all starts spinning in a circle, but more mechanical than smooth, like a clock or something, and my friend Potter and my dorm mate are there too and Potter says "this is your brain on drugs" and they start laughing, and when I see them laughing I think they've trapped me in an intervention (don't ask 'cause I don't know, haha) and then next thing I know I have fallen upside down into the garbage can at the foot of my bed, and then all of a sudden I just snap out of it and I'm sitting on my bed pretty much in the same position I started in. The whole time I had like, no idea of what was going on, it was like someone else here said, I had pretty much forgotten that I had even smoked the salvia. Some people say those reasons are why they don't like salvia, it makes them feel too weird and uncomfortable, but the quick weirdness of it's what makes me like it so much. It puts you so out of touch with everything and is just so amazingly weird, and then it's gone in minutes. It's like going into a funhouse when you're a kid, know what I mean?

Puts you out of touch with everything? If anything it allows you to experience different perceptual stimuluses. It puts you in 'more' touch with everything. Your body is imprisoning your 'self', Salvia is one of many that removes restrictions or 'bars from your cell window'.

That's my best way of describing it, and I meant I lost touch with everything physically, not mentally. Like I forgot where I was and was seeing shit that wasn't happening, that kind of thing. In retrospect I might say that the 10x experience was similar but less crazy than a small hit of DMT, not like a breakthrough hit, just one of those "hey, now I almost feel like I'm on acid and shrooms at the same time" hits.

Seeing shit that wasn't happening? How do you know it wasn't happening!

Define hallucination.

I have had many of various types and caused by different things. I must say though that the brain does not distinguish viewing a chair in your 'mind' or when it is in the external world (proved through brain scan imaging). When I am lying down on my floor gazing at the ceiling during a mushroom trip, what are the stimuluses causing my sensory impulses projecting the hallucinations. The drugs simply alter the intake of different levels of neurotransmitters. Is every other species on this planet hallucinating every second of their lives, and we are viewing the correct perceptual world; I think not personally.

I think it's pretty safe to say rooms don't fold into itself..

Yeah, see, you know what I mean, you really gonna make me word it out super properly in psychonaut klingon or something? :P

Simply saying you shouldn't take your environment for what it looks like, because it's not. We'll see with what they find out at the LHC. If the projected extra dimensions are found, then yes. The room can fold into itself, and you may be perceiving this from the view of a different dimension perhaps. With all assumptions imposed anyways.

I understand what you're saying, and I'm always excited by the possibility that I AM seeing a sort of alternate reality. I mean, I saw shit on DMT for instance that I never saw in my life, not to mention seeing shit that I later found out many people had also seen (like the snakes, though I saw more than two which I guess is what's usually seen, and the "grandmother" or whatever you want to call her, telling me to come with her), so I'm all for the possibility of it really being there in some form or plane. As a side note, god I love talking about this stuff, I just got a brain boner. :P
