- buy a book on mushrooms relative to your area. if you have access to the internet that should be easy.
-learn the terminology and nomenclature for the basic features.
-compare what you find with the description as well as the photographs.
-if you are still not sure, dont eat them, just ask somebody here.
decent photos help, but identification from photos is aways sketchy. expect an "I dont know" if there is any doubt. there seems to be a few knowledgeable souls on the forum.

Take a spore print. This will go along way with identification.
