Is a Normal Bedroom Sterile Enough for Grow Boxes?

Just a quick question before I order a mushroom grow box - would an average bedroom (the cleanest room in my apt. for sure, and it has adequate indirect sunlight) be a sterile enough environment to grow the 'shrooms? I see on the usage instructions that you're supposed to cut a section out of the foil covering the box...Won't that allow dust and other harmful particles to get in? Or do I have to do something to my room first? Thanks for the help; I'm a first-time grower and want to make certain I can pull this off.

A bedroom is perfectly fine for growing the mushies. As for the foil, I do not know what you're talking about. What are you going to put the mushroom kit in?? A bucket?? A terranium?? You need to put some sort of cover over the lid, unless you use a screen (like in a terranium). Maybe that's what you mean by the foil covering the box.
