importance of a bong?

I was wondering how important exactly is a bong.
would a long pipe work?

And along the same line of thought, as ive seen alot of ppl saying they use jet lighters.
But ive seen a normal one used, so how much is the end result effected by the differences.

Any help here experienced lady sally explorers?

you don't need a bong at all, even a small pipe will do. I used a regular lighter and had good effects.

A small pipe will work, but you end up having to smoke more out of the pipe than you would with a bong. About two rips out of a bong and you'd be blown away-- as opposed to 7 rips from a pipe. It makes the transition smoother. Only thing with a bong is you have to have a sitter. Once you lay down, they take away the bong so you don't knock it over, break it, or spill out the herb and cause an accidental fire. Always use precaution.

As for lighters-- either will work. Jet works better since Salv A burns better at a higher temp, but a simple bic lighter works just fine and is cheaper, haha.

if getting the maximum out of your minimum is the goal, a bong and torch lighter are the way to go. it's not directly related to how blasted you'll get though, only the effort in which it takes. so don't defeat the purpose of being cheap by going out and buying the "right stuff". it's just that you'll have to man up a little more for the pipe, simply due to the excess heat, which isn't produced by wet pipes. if you consider yourself a "smoker", you should be able to fill your lungs with sally smoke with relative ease, (it is just slightly more harsh than weed or cigarette tobacco, and has a different taste) in which case a dry pipe is fine, as long as you take the biggest hit possible (lungs full of nearly opaque smoke) and hold it until you're coughing it out. that's my advice anyways, never done me wrong, i was blasted to another spectrum of reality on one huge bong hit of 5x with that technique. it was a bong though..

Personally, as what said earlier, a bong is easier because you can hold more of the Savlia in one rip. More importantly it's impact is just better for me. Jet lighter is a better choice as well. One thing I didn't see mentioned but is a definite must is a screen, since Salvia is so finely crushed you usually waste a bunch by not getting a screen. I recommend a more expensive screen (a few buck difference) since it doesn't burn up as quickly.

For a pipe? I unno, I never use a screen with my pipes. It depends what brand of extract you buy, I guess. The ones I get come with thick-ish leaves that aren't all chopped to bits. The leaves I get from Purple Sticky (or got, I don't but purple sticky any more)-- are thin and can fall though the hole and into the chamber of my pipe. I usually buy Holy Smoke and Pure Salvia extract brands. Works like a charm.

The main thing I have noticed is to keep loading the bowl and smoking more until you don't know where you are. Don't worry about saving more for your next trip; that doesn't matter-- just smoke enough to have a decent 'this trip,' you know. Some times you'll end up smoking the whole gram. But don't worry about wasting your money or what ever. 40 bucks is worth one incredible trip in my book. Just keep loading and smoking until you're down the rabbit hole and then some.

not a screen for my pipe all the time, only for such a finely crushed substance, and as i said eaarlier, i prefer a bong for sally
