I'm not sure if Pulp Fiction and American Beauty count as "drug movies" but anyhow, they're great. And even though Donnie Darko has no actual reference to drugs, it's a great movie to watch while high (and sober for that matter).

I can't believe that I forgot to mention Naked Lunch. Definitely worth checking out, very captivating movie.

I also have this propaganda-clip called "LSD - Trip or Trap", i think it's from the sixties. Pretty hilarious in it's own way.

You say Naked Lunch is about heroin - it's not really, is it? The drugs in the movie itself are fictional - just like many other things like the talking extraterrestrial typewriters, LOL

I first watched it when coming down from a shroom trip and for me it was a festival of psychedelic thoughts, I really enjoyed it very much!

offcourse reality is what you make of it - i think others could find it quit frightening ... but indeed - it shows no heroin - but william used alot of it - and i think the movie shows the heroin decay ... a darker side . but again - reality is what we make of it .

Training Day is not mainly about drugs, but it involves some weed smoking (also weed with pcp) and it's quite a good thriller about a corrupt cop.

it freaks me out to see that there still aren't that many movies made about drugs ... in most of the movies they do some drugs but not all movies ARE about drugs... very little even.

Alice In Wonderland is trippy movie. It is for kids, but in one part, Alice eats little part of a mushroom and becomes really big, and really small. I think that relates to Amanita Muscaria. There is also this guy smoking a hookah. The movie is about Alice who is searching for white rabbit.

Yeh, I know, saw it a bunch of times when I was a kid. I than thought it was one sick movie and I still do!

Another one that is pretty trippy is City of the Lost Children (orig. Cité des enfants perdus) by Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet. The story is not that gripping in my opinion, but the pictures are fabulous. The whole environment and people in the movie are weird and trippy.
