hey,
i m new on this forum, but glad to see there s so many psychonaut around! i m coming back from a trip in south america where i could experience ayahuasca , and i can now realized how much i ve learned and how much it helped me. the thing is i m so scared to be deconnected or to start to doubt all i levd there by being confronted to this so called reality back in europe. i d like to continue my work by taking dmt or even mushrooms (i ve already taken mushrooms a f ew times) but i m actually quite scared to take it on my own in case i freak out or have a bad trip. did anyone experienced any of these mind expanding substances on their own? i m litterally in the middle of nowhere for a few months, which would be a great setting but unfortunately no one to look after me during my experiences!

if you have taken these substances before, you should know how you react to it..

there are many people who take it alone, but you can't make your decision based on these people.. there are also people who freak out

if you have taken these substances and didnt freak out, and if you acted in a way that would have been ok if you were alone, thats a good indicator

in any case, you are showing doubt, so if you do, start with small doses and work your way up as you get confidence and experience

It depends on people... Personally I prefer to trip alone, or with 1 or 2 other people I really trust and feel comfortable with. I took shrooms twice at parties, and both times were boring, unpleasant and useless.

You can't know before you try. If you're not sure, try with a small dose the first time so if it turns out bad, it won't be too bad ;)

I think it also depends what you want out of the experience, and the attitude you bring to it. The solo trip is a vastly different experience than the social trip, it gives you time to dig really, really deep into the effects of the psychedelic without being distracted.

when alone everything in your head stays there, and this can be very confronting.

indeed take a lower dose and then build up till you're confident enough
to take the dose u take when u trip with m8's.

one difference is, because u are affraid of it, u allready take a bad trip in consideration. so when it does happen... instead of freaking out u think "hey I thought this might happen"
and then react upon it by turning it around again .. and then u face the problem.

this whole bad trip period doesn't have to last long then and will be in the end a very good learning experience.

and u`ll have an even better trip I can tell u that :D because now u can fully relax into the trip :)

good luck

dmt..... start with a solid dose.. 25 -40mg... sit back because you willllll be in anotherplace.... you're body in trance state..
with low dose i got confused and one time it was a scary experience.... also got the urge to walk/ move.... i have never had that on high doses...
dmt is in my opinion the best medicine to do on your own!!!
first time.... i also was scared as helll... JUST DO IT!!! YOU CAN NOT DIE!!! WHAT IS THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU?? GGGGOOOOD LUUUUCKKKKKKKNNNNGNNGNNGNGGGNGGGGGGGGNNGNGNGNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
....................................wtf...........universe!!!!!

Ayahuasca is a teacher plant(s). It will never lead you down a road that you don't have to go down, you have no worries. In the end, you will be alive. Just drink, and sit in complete silence and darkness, and you will go with the Ayahuasca spirit on a journey into your mind.

Don't look at a 'bad trip' as something bad, rather look at it as a learning experience. Don't cling to the euphoric feelings, and reject the negative feelings. All of these experiences will only help you in becoming a better person. A 'bad trip' is not even in my 'book' anymore, because when you are afarid to have a 'bad trip', it means your clinging to the euphoria and positive feelings. Everything will be fine. Let us know how it goes

PEACE & LOVE :D

reject the negative feelings.

Isn't it precisely the rejection that makes them negative? Or did I misunderstand you?

Well what I was trying to say is just when you do reject the 'negative feelings', you are then classifying them as negative feelings, so yes one could say that the mere fact of rejecting the negative feelings is what makes it negative. But I was trying to hint at the Buddhist philosphy of viewing from a neutral prespective, something that I find very helpful while enduring an intense experience.

PEACE & LOVE

Okay. For me this 'neutral perspective' includes accepting all feelings as they come, so you won't deny whatever is happening, stay in the moment and ride the waves.

Exactly! To live in the moment with a non-judgemental view towards anything. Just be the observer who takes the ride. :D

^like your sig already pointed out

....In any case, if you are an average human being, not suffering from any mental disorders, know the why's and how's of set and setting, you are prepared in my opinion.

Amen!

i do not reccomend or condone using psyche in a solo setting but speaking from personal experience ive had both good and bad solo experiences with everything from lsd and mushrooms to ayahuasca/freebase dmt, and salvia extract

it comes down to how easily you can accept things but still solo is dangerous , moreso for the body than the mind in my experience, i once had a friends brother attempt to walk out a window while on salvia but luckily he wasnt alone and also my brother tripped hard for his first time not too long ago and during the ayahuasca peak he literally collapsed dead weight and had i not been there to catch him he would have most likely injured himself badly or worse. use your best judgement is what it comes down to

this is invaluable advice. go read up on buddhism and the buddhist outlook for some time. if you actually read it and absorbed the information, then you shouldn't have much trouble in dealing with any scenario that the psychedelic shows you

i tend to agree with this but please also bare in mind that once in DMT space it may be easier said than done. i think a key factor to remember also is no matter how bad it may seem to get if at all it should be kept in mind that it wont kill you physically and that it will pass soon enough. basicly the same mindset one needs to keep during periods of the flu or extreme hangovers lol, best of luck

Physically dieing is nothing in comparison to the truest and deepest confrontations in DMT space.
