DMT + astma

hello travellers,

I want to try DMT in the near future, but that raises a question. I have astma. Its not very strong astma, but sometimes it comes up and i have difficulty breathing.

Can i use ventolin (astma medicine) and DMT together without causing harm?

hey,
first of all,when i had my experience last year on a small dose (first time) dmt.
i've noticed sometimes i stopped breathing for a few seconds.
the major cause was probably because it was pretty overwhelming,which i mean the visuals and intense body high,still it was a small dose (didn't had a breakthrough).
after all i don't think it will be harmfull if you take it with your astma meds.
though,i'd try with a small dose first and have a sitter with you in case something may go wrong.
smoking dmt weighs heavily on your lungs,holding your breath will maybe not that easy for you.
but still...try it and you'll see...

i forgot to mention...
i don't know which other psychoactive substances you have experience with.
but there is always a risk to trigger an astma attack when you're not feeling confortable while you're tripping or when you feel nervous.
at least,if you think it's the right time it will be ok.

thank you for the reply. I have had a couple of experiences with mushrooms and i never had any problems with it, but I guess DMT is a whole different story. I will have to investigate a bit further

I would guess that the ventolin could enhance the intensity of the trip. If smoked properly, DMT is much less suffocating than cannabis or salvia. However, the trip intensity can scare a lot. Especially with serious doses when you do not even feel that you are breathing (which is different than stopping breathing).
Start very slowly... and have a sitter !
