DMT - 5-Me DMT

5-Me-DMT is a close relative of DMT. 5-Me-DMT is reported to be about 4 times as potent as DMT and is often regarded as preferable to DMT. 5-Me-DMT has most of the psychedelic qualities as DMT but does not cause visual hallucinations. It follows the same time course.

What I dont understand is, why would anyone prefer a trip without visuals? Are there other qualities that 5Me-DMT possess?

Well, the times I smoked DMT (the 'normal' variant) the visuals where so incredibly intence, the mindfuck part was completly nullified. For some people the part where you go into your own mind and solve your inner problems and other hippy stuff is the most important part of the trip. I experienced no inner breakthroughs or anything on DMT, I was just in awe of the strange new world I was in. I guess some people consider that a waste and want to explore their own mind instead of alien worlds.

Not that a non-visual trip isn't incredible too. My recent San Pedro experience lacked visuals too, but it was a most beautiful day

Ah ok I see what you mean.

Just couldnt grasp it, I've had my first few DMT experiences the last couple of weeks and the 'hippyhealing' stuff was al there, bathed in the most brilliant and amazing visuals I've ever seen, hence my question

I guess being in an alien world with real live talking and walking elves can be a little hard on the more reality focused psychonaut too. If I just wanted to ponder on certain problems from a different angle, I'd prefer 5MeO-DMT too (not that I ever had any, I'm just guessing). New realities are not for everyone.

5MeO-DMT being 4 times more potent only means that you need 4 times less, not that it's 4 times more intense of course

No but DMT often brings you to the void with the self dribbling basketballs (or ancestry beings)

And 5-MEO-DMT often more brings you to your own void, so you go inside more.

Al least these are the things I experienced on normal NN and 5MEO DMT,
although I must say that I've "only" done it 3 times.
That was in the same night and the " marks around only suggest my pride of having the guts to try it another 2 times after the first 1


But yeah, why the hell would anybody go without the visuals???
After my experiences I was in awe, couldn't say anything for a few minutes and just felt the most intense bliss ever.
I felt so incredibly lucky that I of all people had the privilege of experiencing this.
This was I think in March and the thought of the experiences still fills my being with joy, a sense of wellbeing comes up, and my hart glows warm while typing this reply...

Damn it's good to be a psychonaut!

a guy describes his pharmahuasca experience with 5Meo-dmt and after that an experience with smoked nn-DMT. The 5MEO-dmt appears to be really powerful (he also refers to 5MEO as "the power" and to nn-dmt as "the glory")
