I went 3'rds w/some friends for an 80x pack of Salvia. I was the sitter while my friends tripped.
A-- took 3 hits (inhalations) on her pipe and had a very short (3 min) trip that made her laugh twice but turned her face an ashy white. She's on heavy doses of annabuse and I suspect that's what caused the reaction.
Her son, Sk--, took 4 hits off his own pipe and within a minute was in sally-land. Never been a sitter before - but did some reasearch by watching tons of videos on youtube. Was happy that I did. At one point Sk-- inhaled, his head was thrown back and his muscles spasm'd to the point he was pulled into a fetal position. BUT he was breathing very regularly and had a wide mouthed grin. (Later he reported his body was in vertical parts and each part swinging seperately. And he couldn't find his ears.) Because I knew the 'stoned' aftereffects lasted a while I wouldn't let them talk me into taking any while they were still very buzzed.
My own experience with Salvia happened very early the next morning.
I've had previous (but limited) experinece smoking pot and knew that the high from pot usually hits my system 45 min to 2 hours after smoking a small bowl or quarter bowl. (I'm diabetic so whatever I put in my system has to contend with high blood sugars and insulin.)
Even knowing this I was expecting Salvia to hit fast. It didn't. I took a total of 7 fast hits between two rounds (with 40 minutes between both rounds). Nothing. ** 2 HOURS LATER ** I called it quits on waiting for a result, crawled into bed, put my hands in my panties and was in the middle of a ho-hum wanking when there was suddenly quite a bit of color. Absolutely brillinat golds, blues and greens. I've had really vivid fantasies before - but only when severly sick with the flu and on too many otc meds to count. And this surpassed all of them. I can't even remember if I finished myself off before I fell asleep. And here's the other surprise. I had a vivid start-to-finish movie sequence dream that I can STILL recall quite clearly right now.
The next day A-- reported back that she was driving to work that morning and had to pull over because suddenly she was stoned - again! Said she had a very short 'hop' into sally world (about 5 min) and was fine after that.
I, also, had some nice aftereffects. Went down for a nap later the same day that I took the salvia and woke up with the sensation that I was being cuddled, loved on with some interesting petting (even though there was nobody else in the bed with me).
I would LOVE to have that immediate burst into Salvia land. But I am more than pleased to get the response I did. I wrote all this so that the first poster would know that - no - sometimes it's not going to hit the way you want.
