Been on a long vacation through the far east and what I can say about my adventure is... it is good to be alive. Much trouble in certain areas but the dirtier you look the less friction you receive. stopped shaving and grew a beard, wore utilitarian clothes and other than a change of underwear made it in and out with just the clothes on my back and a backpack with a few items.
Sent weeks traveling in rudimentary public transportation seeking out special places to expand my mind, started out with a camera to document my trip... it was lost to someone who needed it more than me. I got lost though and found my way back in one hell of an adventure, the end result was finding myself very alive and very happy even though there were many times that I thought I might not make it back.
I had the opportunity to eat some mushrooms in three countries and did so in the name of science. It was magnificent. The love of the land and its beauty provided me with memories that can not be described, and had my camera survived the trek, I am sure the photos would not have done them justice either.
I made some real conections there and am already planning my next sneak out off the grid.
Glad I am home, although I did not miss it at all. What a LONG STRANGE TRIP IT HAS BEEN!
