Coca Cola for plants???

I don't want to sound dumb or anything but here goes: a mate of mine told me to give my outdoor plants (4 x shiva and 1 x jack herrer) coca cola twice in the last 2 weeks of the blooming period (about half a can on 10l of water) , claiming that his plants got massive amounts of THC crystals on the buds by doing the cola thing. I'm groing for 3 years now and I can't say that I have'nt heard it before but I still can't quite believe it (I know sugar is good during the blooming period but cola raises the Ph quite fast with all the citric acids, no?). Anyone who knows the thruth or has tested it? And what about Hoegaarden or other beers? All urban legends?
added a pic of my babies last year but it's not going to be as good this year with our fantastic summer and all... (enjoy!)
