Christianity is bad for you healht and can even kill you. As the sources below clearly indiacate, being christian is extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all times!!

Christians even seem to kill eachother:
http://candst.tripod.com/boston3.htm

And here's a nice summarization of how bad it actually is:
http://exchristian.net/exchristian/2002 ... led-by.php

As evidence clearly shows, christianity is a matter of national health and politics should take action as soon as possible, preferably much earlier. It seems that christians can't decide for themselves whats good for them so we have to really make a lot of noise at politics to have them see the point and enforce our way of seeing things, upon them.

I feel really bad for christians because there are many christians alive that have not been killed yet. Still, since 1 out of 10.000.000 christians seems to die for the reason of being christian, there is really no argument against prohibition.

Your thoughts please ;)

i think making it illegal is not gonna stop it.

there is nothing wrong with a bit of religion, there are just very scary people who are utterly insane and use religion in the wrong way. those people need treatment, seriously, they scare the shit out of me, they give me traumas.

for me religion is a way of communion, communication with each other and the divine, whatever that may be, we all feel something at times, even if it's when we take LSD... religion is just another way of communicating with that, and getting people together.

people will be arrested if they kill someone, that's how far it goes, but actually they should get serious psychiatric treatment.

yea I agree, trying to display the stupidity of prohibiting ones religion (as christians currently are trying in the Netherlands ) :)

You know HC, I love it when you talk as blunt as this :D

Anyway move to a more liberal place because your home environment isn't doing anything good for your Christianofobia.

(^_^)

I think it's best to find a way Christianity and the religion of the shroom would somehow blend a bit.

Don't even try to convince those stubborn Christian fundamentalists. But it would be a start to just try to find the Christian people who are a bit more on the same wavelength. But still don't expect anybody to be convinced that the way of the shroom is The Golden Way of life. Only a hint of mutual respect is allready a lot.

Why would you try to force people into the visions of shrooms, like the Christian fundamentalists try to force you into the visions of their God of the bible? I know you didn't write it this way, but the amount of posts about the ridiculeness of Christianity you post, makes me think this way, maybe unintentionally.

You know that this only creates a bigger gap, more resistance, less respect. Don't make the same mistake as the "Christian fundamentalists" in your head make.

(Maybe I shouldn't react this serious, and putting my energy in it. I think there's lessons to be learnt on this subject for both of us, cos' everytime I see this ridiculising of Christianity coming up, I feel something stinging (why do I chose to feel attacked?), just like you feel something stinging when thinking of Christians.)

perhaps just run away from them,,, leave them to their insanity,,, would that work? or would they try (again) to convert everyone?

:?

First thing is that what churches and christian politiciens do has nothing to do with teaching of Jezus or the bible. They only use passages from the bible to work on your emotians so you believe their doctrines. I must admit that thinking objective is difficult since every person is influenced by his environment but shrooms will help you to be critical about yourself, see things different and not trying to place everyone in a certain place.

Second thing we have to understand is that we can't stop blaming christians for wars and violence in this world. Empirical it can't be proven that religion leads to violence, aggression and intolerance. The truth is that the most slaughters in history where commited by nationalism facism and communism what all are atheist ideologies.

Maybe it's time to look within yourself to look for the cause of problems. I believe that every person carries evil within himself. The bible teaches a wonderfull philosophy about this called 'sin'.

The bible gives you advices how to avoid problems in your life and teaches people about what etical, like: don't lie, steal and kill. People think they can decide for themselves what is wise but forget to see difficult global structures how things work in this system, the opinion of the world is changing day by day, but if you study the bible well you recgnize everything that is and was happening.

Maybe because people don't see the problems that are indirectly caused by them they become all intolerant, egoistic, short-tempored, dirty and corrupt.

Jezus is my Savior

little question, how many anti-christians did read the bible from beginning to end with and openmind to different philosophy then that of everyday life and without being influenced by religious family or friends tell you how it needs to be interpreted?

this is in fact not the question. The question is what do you see christians do. And sorry but the pope was a facist (he supported mussolini's government so he could get vatican city). During the time of columbus and stuff christians murdered loads of southern american people who did them no wrong.

The point you're trying to make I think is that not all christians are bad. I agree with you, but sadly the majority of christians really are hypocrit intolerant and ignorant people. It's the few christians with open minds who don't judge anyone and everyone that we need to treasure. Sadly there's only a few.

The point that i trying to make is that christians are not bad but the human itself and then use the bible to do bad things and call themself christians whereas it has nothing to do with Christ or the bible.

those people call themselves christians though, who is right you or them?

read the bible and answer yourself. I don't preach violence, I am not involved in any political group or organization whatsoever. Belonging to groups separates people and put people in certain positions. People that want to control other people are always groups that want to control other groups, am I right? When are you christian? If you follow christ teachings? so if you do something what doesn't belong to his teaching you are not a real christian right?

I can read the bible in many ways. Many of them incorporate me being a person with tunnel vision only caring about the way I'm serving god in my own small retarded way. I can also read it as an inspirational "loving" book that teaches me many things about loving my fellow man.

You and I know which one we prefer. Other people take the other one, but does that make them less christian? They're still following teachings from the bible, only the ones we consider to be out dated and not for this time. The question who are we to judge? Do good yourself and refrain from judging others is what I try to practice in daily life, even though it doesn't always work .
I'm not really a christian, though i feel quite a connection with some rastafarians (for lack of a better word).

heheh we think a lot the same. My opinion about god and the bible has changed because of rastafarian reggae.

I think we do, and because of that I like to disagree with you :)

Put it the other way... How many christians did really read the bible from beginning to end? Because a lot claim to be christian but they haven't even read the whole book? Also alot of them chose wich rules of the bible to obey, and wich they don't... Are these people also real christians? I think the question is: What is your definition of a christian?

And by the way, I'm not religious but I've read Genesis and Exodus, but it got so dull I couldn't continue

Officially I'm a christian. In my mind, soul and spirit I'm an athea. In my point of view, all religions are bullshit, they do more bad than good, and their main goals are to control people, have them subdued to an "entity", and make them pay for that.

There are some good things to learn from each religions, but there's too many illogical things in them (christianity at least, I don't know much about other religions, but from what i know they don't seem to be much better ) to make them credible. Since I'm like 10 years old I started doubting about all those religious things, if there was really a god etc... As time passed, I got more and more convinced that there was no god, and felt like religions were scams, too many things just didn't make sense. When I started taking psychedelics, I understood a lot of things and now I believe firmly that there is no superior entity, like a god, governing or controlling the universe. I would like to tell you all I learned, but it's impossible for me to put words on my thought, psychedelics speak to me in a language beyond words...

I respect people's beliefs, I respect people from all religions, I know some people find them reassuring and all, but I don't believe in any of them. Religions killed enough people, and destroyed enough people's life to convince me that they are more bad than good.

We also have to understand what is God and what is Satan? Are they two persons or is it the force in every individual and group that leads to good or evil, harmony or choas? Every psychonaut knows that our feelings, thinking and observations are limited by our brain and sensory organs and that is and can be more forces in the universe the we know and see in everyday reality. I think that for lot's of religions God is for things we can't explain and because of science we see things have logical explanations so we say it's not God work. So what or who is God? And I still don't see how the teachings of Christ lead to violence? He said that every person will be jugded by his own doings and indead I see a lot of evil person that get their own problems sooner or later back on their head. So a clean way of living makes you life in heaven. If you have a lot of problems because you do things wrong in life your living in hell. A lot of people say that if there is no bigger force all life developed sponteneous but I'll talk. about that later

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
[29] And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
[30] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
[31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12: 28-31

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
matthew 7:12

the problem is not religion, the problem is that mankind is still too young to deal with things, all things.

not having a religion is a religion too.
