I tried to post in the old topic for it but it wouldn't let me. Anyway
I absolutely love blue lotus, anybody else feel the same? It doesn't seem to get the respect it deserves.
Smoking a bowl of it before meditation, or a half weed/half lotus bowl before bed is the bomb.
The most effective methods are probably letting it sit in wine or making tea of it, but I've found that after really exploring the effects of it that even just smoking a bowl's worth of it I can really notice and appreciate the subtle effects.
It's second only to weed in my mind as far as the more, uh... casual? drugs go. (i like shrooms, mescaline and mdma more than the both of them but i'd put those on a different scale) Very warm, comfortable feeling. I feel my thoughts are a little more clear and focused, and my mind feels just generally a little more blank, so to speak. I feel very relaxed, accepting, and appreciative. There's a lot of other subtleties to it, I agree with the poster in the other topic who said the emotional quality of this is very similar to mdma.
Also I've noticed that in high doses I seem to really notice colour, more so than with weed even, to the point that everything almost seems to be in a higher contrast. And beams of light seem really dramatic and sort of pop out at me.
