best kind of filter paper to use?

Recently finished the second attempt at extracting DMT from mimosa bark. The first time we ended up with good product, but it seemed like we lost a lot of material to the coffee filter paper we used. What in your opinions is the best kind of filter paper to use?

A buchner funnel, filter flask, and fine pore filter paper.....

But for DIY, triple up on the coffee filters, maybe that'll help.

if you have a home-brew shop near by you can get good filter paper and a filter syphon no questions asked

no filters. i've read about not filtering the end solvent through anything, but carefully pouring out as much of the liquid as possible (80 percentish) then turning the jar upside down on a plate for 5 minutes. the jar will warm and the xtals will fall off the sides and go on the dish. Turn the jar on its side and turn a fan on low aimed in the jar and at the plate (you might need to tilt the plate so that the warming and evaporating solvent doesnt pool around the xtals, melting them) . no annoying filters, no annoying scraping. and dont wash with amonia either, just re-xtalize.

a milk jug, several pint mason jars, and a turkey baster (baby ear cleaner if more control is needed)

Will a regular milk jugs plastic hold up to strong acids? The mason jar/baster method works well for the clandestine.

My friend has read that theres no need for any acids in an mhrb extracton (if your fuckin with phlaris or something good luck with whatever you try). Just add 375 grams of mhrb OR LESS into a milk jug and 1 gram of lye = for every 1gram of mhrb Then add enough water to come up to 1-2 inches from the lid. keep the heat down and let the air expand, then add the minimum amount of naptha (100mls- 400mls) shake for 5 mins then let settle for a minute 3 times, then baster off the naptha and jar it up. repeat this the maximum amount of times you can stand (3-15 or so). freeze the jar in a freezer on its coldest setting. wait 24-48 hours. snap. re-extalize if neccecary

A friend told me milk jugs are ptfe and are one of the most used on the nexus. they will stand up to lye and naptha just fine, expecially when your extraction is only over a few days. Also they are conveniently shaped; the naptha is easier to seperate than from a jar or bucket or whatever. Its cheap and everyone has access. No waxy or impure x-tals have been reported from any milk jug use my from what my friend read.

Milk jug - it's opaque and you can't see what you're doing!? Why not just buy a huge canning jar.

Also do you guys squeeze your filter paper? Isn't there a small amount of solvent/solute absorbed in the paper you think?
