Hey freaks. Well, ive been related to Santo Daime (thats a religious cult of ayahuasca here in Brazil) for quite some time. I wonder how you make it outside the Americas, since these plants are only grown on the Amazon (at least the with the formula we use here).
Is there any cult like Santo Daime? Some kind of religious use of it? I seriously believe its use is only to be made in religious cerimonies, and thats mostly because i myself have been only introduced to it in that way - and when i did it outside the cult i just felt bad, like if the Daime (thats how we call it in Brazil) was punishing me for that. Has anybody had that kind of experience?

freaks??? i think nobody's gonna answer.... no freaks here :?

indeed we are serious noblemen! Please give us some respect! Napoleon just got returned in his grave!

ok I stop the kidding =P
The Daime is present in Holland. In France ayahuasca related plants were banned last year, Santo Daime tried to recover it, but failed...
I don't think there are many places were they are active in Europe. Maybe I am wrong.
Though there are ceremonies with "shamans", but not that much, and they are very expensive depending....
So you drink ayahuasca every thursday? I've seen some video reports about it. So you would never go to see a shaman over there?
when i did it outside the cult
why did you do it outside the cult? I guess not for fun..was it alone?

from our standpoint (of cours I don't really know but that's how I feel it, ok this my own point of view  ), ayahuasca is more seen as a medicine plant, and i think most of us wouldn't be alright doing that in the setting of a religious church, but more with a shaman for a healing session.

Hey hey, sorry 'bout that mates. I mean freaks but not to offend you, I even consider myself a freak and thats not so offensive.. more like different and open-minded really.... Anyway, nice to see that the Church is present in other countries, the knowledge provided by ayahuasca is something for the mankind! We have cults every thursday yes, but the really important dates are the 52 portal dates (sorry for the bad english, but it's something like that really) that are in fact match to the 52 special dates of the Maya calendar. Those are the festive dates of ours, though you're never forced to participate in any of those or even any thursday of a month.

From my point of view Santo Daime is a religious church based on the shamanism. So when we go to the Church we are in fact visiting the Shamans, the 'fardados' are actually Shamans from the Church..

I also think of the Santo Daime (I mean the ayahuasca now) as a displinator, it shows you paths for enlightening and better understanding of our lives. It's a medicine plant, but it's the medicine for our spirits (though it's prooved it has some substancies that makes our healing system stronger)

Again sorry for the bad english, it gets better!

it's more spiritual than religious, but anyway, we are trying to folow the amazonian traditions(whole night sitting around the fire, playing spiritual songs) , which are undoubtedly the best for such ocasions.
As much we respect the holy medicine, that much it will help us .

No mater if these traditions are mixed with christianity, hinduism, new age, thracian orphism, or whatever, they are more or les conected with the pre-religious shamanistick spirituality, and that's why are so important and powerfull tool to cure the popular religions from their written theological paradigms.

"philosophies and religions they are many, but the Truth it is just One.
and I love ypu so, that you helped me see
and to see you in all
is to see you in me"
Viva Ayahuasca!!
:D
p.s. in some culture's slang the word "freak" has a positive meaning(at least im my native bulgarian),
while in most countries it does not.
Remember, that some tribes believe , that the "crazy freaks" are holy persones, and remember, that the state of mind, considored as "normal" in our present technological culture is actualy more "freaky" than any other known to humanity.;)
