... certainly not a perfectly realistic depiction of an ayahuasca ceremony and certainly not of the effects and deepness of the trip - but hey, it's a popular american tv show, for that they are really accurate.
There is not one bad word said about ayahuasca (only the Shaman says the ayahuasca tells him not to give it to Nancy now, but I guess that is a hint for further plot development). The whole depiction is very positive, and in the end Nancy is sitting on the beach realizing she has been lying to herself all the time and she needs to change things in her life.
Although positive, the depiction of ayahuasca is a bit too simple, I guess - it's almost like "you got a migraine - well, take some ayahuasca, have some visuals and bang you're cured an hour later". Oh well, tv always simplifies stuff I guess (you gotta shorten things up to make a 30 minute episode interesting, that's just a necessity)

I just love this show anyways, I've seen every episode and it keeps getting better and better :)

This is amazing! I am glad to see medicines like Ayahuasca not being bad talked. I am glad to see that they talked about Peyote and Ayahuasca as being healing plants. Maybe one day, our society WILL wake up.

PEACE & LOVE

Awesomeeeee!!!!!! Yeah, I like this post haha

I wonder how ayahuasca is like, this is certainly not what i expected!
Cool that this is beginning to grow in popular culture!

I wonder, is there a place where i can attend to a shaman ceremony of this drink somewhere in Europe?
Like in Amsterdam or such?

Hmm.. To do it with a shaman... I would honestly suggest going to central/south america :?
Everyone else will be hokey I believe, or have other motivations/intentions than to release your spirit into mother nature.
Do it by yourself, or with a very very trusting sitter, or round up some money and visit the rainforest :P

Im deff gonna visit the Shamans of America in my lifetime!
But, yeah guess so!
Do you think it is better to do it outside in Nature?
(I really enjoy doing it outside in Nature with other Psychedelics)
I Live in Iceland, and the nature here is really strange!
And (from my belief) the spirits are much different then from other places!
They dont have many visitors into thier realm, but they certainly are curious!
Wonder what Ayahuasca will do to bring forth them!

btw, i found out that Love and Respect is the most important thing to bring with me into those spiritual worlds!
Will that do on an Ayahuasca trip?
(it worked on shrooms and hoffmanns)

Just do it where you feel safe, and pleasent friend. The mother nature will always take care of you if you feel for it. Bring trust and compassion with you

I like the article , it does get a bit "political" but i think its generaly true that ayahuasca is going woolworths , vested interests and the loonys are moveing in .

I put the word political in inverted commas .

hey, they actually linked my youtube vid in the article... now I hope it doesn't draw too much attention so the showtime lawyers will bring action against me (as it's not perfectly legal to post parts of a copyrighted show without permission).

...and before you say something - I know my youtube name is a horrible misspelling of dimethyltryptamine, I guess I was drunk when I created the account ;)
