Hey everyone,

I'm going on holiday this summer with some friends, touring europe.
It seems like a great experience to drink ayahuasca in the alpes or an other nature-rich part of europe, but I don't know if it is legal to bring the ingredients (mimosa hostilis and peganum harmala) for ayahuasca to the countries we will be crossing.
The countries we will be visiting are Belgium, France and Italy.
I hope someone knows if we can bring the ingredients into each of these countries.
Thanks in advance,
Peace! Roeligan

in belgium, i don't think the DMT containing plant material is legal. but in belgium, cops are not educated on how to recognise DMT containing plant material. their dogs also can't. so if you would make it look like some tea or stuff like that there should be no problem.

i once had the cops searching my room, they saw a lot of empty shroom boxes but they didn't pay attention to it, but they did take my cannabis grinder and some empty weed bags.
shrooms have same legal status as DMT, if not more illegal.

i'd say belgium is quite safe ;)

but france is have quite a sort of war on drugs thing going about...

thanks for your reaction, I think I'll try to 'smuggle' it disguised as herbs or something.
Anyone knows if it's legal to use/posess ayahuasca in Italy and France, because that are the countries we would like to try it.

From what I know, all the 'standard' ayahuasca and anahausca plants (including the ones you mentioned) are illegal in France. I read this on Erowid, which contains, afaik, pretty good and bundled legal information.

The rest of the countries are I think no problem, but I support the Meduzz's statement. You simply don't want to provoke, even in countries where the plants are legal (which is almost the entire world), which means: plants in zipbags look suspicious and so do several more things that you can probably think of yourself.

Big dried leaves in paper bags, or plastic bags from commercial products that contain only leaves to make tea (like ginkgo biloba leaves or poison ivy/brandnetel), don't look suspicious if you put them with the rest of your cooking material and pots and pans and teas and things. You could also make the ayahuasca before you leave and put it in some kind of beverage container. Or if you boil it down, ayahuasca looks like a thick paste, which is very much like apple syrup/appelstroop. When not boiled down to a paste but to a drinkable volume (a small cup, 50-100ml), it sometimes looks like chocolate milk or other beverages.

thanks for your help
I think I will try the tea way of disguising. It will be one hell of a holliday with the ayahuasca :D
